Infinix Smart 7 HD, Entry-level Smartphone, Launched in Nepal

Infinix Nepal recently launched its latest entry-level smartphone, the Infinix Smart 7 HD, in Nepal. At the time, it is the cheapest offering from Infinix in the country.

Design

The Infinix Smart 7 HD features a plastic build with a textured patterned back design. On the rear, there is a square camera module that houses two camera rings, a flash, and a fingerprint scanner. The inclusion of a fingerprint sensor is a nice touch considering its price point.

On the right side of the phone, you’ll find the power and volume buttons. It charges via a Micro-USB port instead of USB-C, which is not uncommon in an entry-level phone.

Moving to the bottom side, there is a speaker, microphone, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device is available in Ink Black, Silk Blue, Jade White, and Green Apple color options.

Display

The phone has a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with an 84% screen-to-body ratio.

Infinix claims that the display of the Smart 7 HD can reach a peak brightness of 500 nits. Additionally, the brightness can be adjusted to as low as 1 nit.

Hardware

Powering the Infinix Smart 7 HD is a Unisoc SC9863A chipset. It’s an entry-level octa-core CPU with eight Arm Cortex-A55 cores, four of which are running at 1.6GHz and the rest at 1.2GHz.

The phone comes with 2GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB UFS 2.1 storage.

Camera

The dual rear camera setup has an 8MP primary camera accompanied by a gimmicky QVGA “AI camera.”

The front has a 5MP selfie camera. In addition to the rear flash, the front also features a flash for low-light selfies.

Battery and OS

The smartphone has a 5000mAh battery. The device comes with a 10W charger.

In terms of software, the Infinix Smart 7 HD runs on Android 12 (Go edition) out of the box. It is topped with XOS v12.

The Infinix Smart 7 HD price in Nepal is Rs. 11,799 (2/64GB). The phone is available for purchase at retail stores across the country.
