Infinix has a banger lineup of budget smartphones, and to be honest, they dominated the market in 2025. But with the recent price hike, most of their smartphone lineups are also getting a massive price bump, and that includes the Infinix Note 50s.

Back when it launched, the Note 50s offered solid value for money. But is it the same now? Or has the value dropped? Let’s find out
What is the Price of the Infinix Note 50s 5G+ in Nepal?
The Infinix Note 50s 5G+ is now priced at Rs. 35,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. Previously, the Note 50s launched at Rs. 31,999. So, mathematically, we are looking at Rs. 4,000 price bump. The phone was priced very competitively, but now, the Rs. 4,000 price bump seems a bit too much.
Internationally, the phone is available in three configurations: 6/128GB, 8/128GB, and 8/256GB. However, only one variant made its way into Nepal which is available for purchase in retail and online stores across the country.
While the Infinix Note 50s 5G+ is a direct upgrade of the Note 50x 5G+, it combines the best features of both the Note 50x and the Hot 50 Pro Plus. You get the Dimensity 7300 chipset from the Note 50x, along with the 3D Curved AMOLED display from the Hot 50 Pro Plus, upgraded to a 144Hz refresh rate.
So, why is the Infinix Note 50s 5G+ hotly anticipated? Let’s discuss further in this article!

Infinix Note 50s 5G+ Overview
Design
The Infinix Note 50s retains some design elements from the Infinix Note 50x 5G+, especially the octagonal-shaped camera module. However, the body design has evolved; the back now curves seamlessly into the frame, making it slimmer and more refined at just 7.6mm thick.

The camera module features ‘Active Halo Lighting,’ similar to the Note 50X. It lights up during camera timers, voice assistant use, or while gaming.
The plastic frame has a two-tone finish. It appears to have an aluminium frame on the sides due to the metal finish, but it resembles usual plastic from the top and bottom.
The phone is available in three colors: Titanium Grey, Ruby Red, and Marine Blue. The Marine Blue variant has an Aromatic leather back with the World’s first scent encapsulation technology. This should also make it the first phone you might want to smell before you buy it. What if you don’t like the aroma? The remaining two variants have a normal plastic back panel.
The IP64 rating was already present on the Note 50X 5G, but Infinix has now added Military Grade Durability as well (MIL-810H Certified). Likewise, the front glass protection is now upgraded to Gorilla Glass 5.
144Hz AMOLED Display?
Infinix addresses one of the weaknesses of the Note 50x 5G+ in the Infinix Note 50s 5G+. The HD+ screen now gets a bump up to FHD+ resolution. But it is now a 3D curved 10-bit AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate? Yes, a 10-bit 144Hz panel on a budget phone. Let that sink in!
The curved display gives it a premium look and a similar aesthetic to that of the Infinix Hot 50 Pro+.
It can switch between 60, 120, and 144Hz of smoothness and comes with a touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz.

It has a typical brightness of 550 nits with 1100 nits HBM and 1300 nits peak brightness. A much-needed improvement, as the Infinix Note 50x had poor brightness levels.
This curved display with 10-bit color and a 144Hz refresh rate will be the first of its kind for the price tag. Also, a wake-up call for legacy brands to up their game in the budget segment.

Fiesty MediaTek Dimensity 7300
MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate powers the Infinix Note 50s 5G+. It’s the same chip as the one used in the CMF Phone 2 Pro and Infinix GT 30. And value-wise, it’s quite decent as well. The SoC is complemented by 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 2.2 256GB storage.
With the previous pricing, it was one of the most powerful phones under Rs. 35,000. However, the price hike stripped the Note 50s of that title.
Battery
The Infinix Note 50s 5G+ boasts a 5,200mAh battery. And just like the Note 50X, the charging speed remains at 45W. The wireless charging is still missing, but should you care? No.
One of the trending features of 2025, Bypass Charging, is available. This feature allows the phone to be directly powered from the charger without charging the battery. This is a great gaming feature that provides peak power without straining the battery. Likewise, it also supports reverse charging (wired) of up to 10W.
Camera and the rest
When it comes to cameras, the Infinix Note 50s 5G Plus features a 64MP main sensor alongside a 2MP macro lens. The primary sensor is the Sony IMX682, a reliable but slightly older sensor previously seen on devices like the Samsung Galaxy A52s.
On the front, there is a 13MP selfie camera. What’s particularly impressive is that both the front and rear cameras are capable of recording 4K video at 30 frames per second—a rare feature in this price segment.

In terms of software, the device runs on XOS 15 built on top of Android 15. Infinix has promised two major Android updates and three years of security patches. The XOS 15 interface brings several AI-powered features, including AIGC Portrait Mode, AI Note, AI Wallpaper Generator, and Folax, the brand’s in-house AI voice assistant.
The Infinix Note 50s 5G Plus is also equipped with an IR blaster, letting users control household appliances directly from the phone. Additionally, it comes with dual stereo speakers with JBL badging. We previously experienced this setup on the Hot 50 Pro Plus, and the audio quality was quite impressive.
Infinix Note 50s Price in Nepal and Availability
The Infinix Note 50s 5G+ price in Nepal now sits at Rs. 35,999 for the sole 8/256GB variant. The phone is now available for purchase in Infinix-authorised retail and online stores.
| Infinix Note 50s 5G+ | Launch Price | Current Price in Nepal |
|---|---|---|
| 8/256GB | Rs. |
Rs. 35,999 |
Infinix made waves with its budget releases. Now, with the launch of Note 50s 5G Plus, the company dominated the Rs. 35,000 segment.
With a combination of performance, design, and a 144Hz refresh rate display unmatched at this price, this may very well be the best budget smartphone of the year.
That was before the price hike. Now, the Infinix Note 50s has lost its competitive “edge” in the Rs. 30,000 range. Interestingly, the phone is still a great option; as the devices that previously dominated the Rs. 35,000 bracket moved up in price, the Note 50s stepped in to fill the void. It remains a solid choice—it just now sits in a higher price category.
