Living with ICT, one of the Nepal’s leading IT Media, has announced that they will be organizing the second edition ‘ICT Award 2017’ in order to reward experts and talents of the ICT sector and give them the recognition they deserve.
The award program is being conducted with the aim of encouraging new enthusiasts in the field of technology as well as honoring the elders who have given their time and effort for the development of technology in Nepal. The program is going to be conducted on 2nd Bhadra, 2074. A Jury group consisting of experts in the ICT field will honor the final winner at the event with an award after different stages of selection processes have been conducted.
ICT Award was officially introduced last year, on the occasion of the 4th anniversary of Living with ICT Magazine. SastoDeal, Kul Techno Lab, NepFlight and Yellow Nepal were among the award winners. This year’s ICT Award has incorporated three news categories as compared to last year. Some of the stand-out categories this year include; ICT Startup Company 2017, Best Innovation Product Award 2017, ICT Pioneer Award 2017, ICT Scholar Awards and Best Nepali Diaspora 2017.
The companies which are 3 years or younger are eligible to take part in the Startup Company Award whereas a product that has been developed within a year can be registered for Innovative Product Award. For ICT Scholar Award, products made by students of IT or Engineering field can be registered. Furthermore, ICT Diaspora Award will be given to a foreign company or person who can reflect and introduce Nepal.
Razan Lamsal, the chairman of Living with ICT media, hopes to provide a significant contribution to Nepal’s Information and Technology Department in the near future. He believes that with some help in making the event successful, they can improve the dignity and height of Nepal’s Information and Technology sector which will undoubtedly benefit the sector in the future.
To participate in the award, companies have to visit their official website www.ictawardnepal.com and submit an online form under a certain category. Forms can be filled through the official mobile app of Living With ICT as well.
The online registrations have already begun and those companies who want to participate will have to submit their form within 15th July (31st of Asar).
