Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro Arrives in Nepal With 3000 Nit Display & 10-Day Battery

Although we no longer see Huawei smartphones in Nepal, the company’s smartwatches continue to launch regularly. Huawei recently launched the Watch Fit 5 in Nepal, and now it has introduced the Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro.

The Fit 5 Pro is the upgrade to the Watch Fit 4 Pro launched a year ago. Let’s see what the Pro version of the Watch Fit 5 has to offer!

The Watch Fit 5 Pro is the successor to the Watch Fit 4 Pro, and it looks pretty much the same in terms of design. However, there are some key upgrades, including a brighter display and better battery life. So, let’s see whether the Fit 5 Pro is a proper upgrade over the Fit 4 Pro.

Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro Overview

Huawei has kept the Watch Fit series clean and minimal, with the design remaining consistent across generations. Since the Fit 4 series, Huawei has moved away from the traditional rectangular case to a more practical square-shaped design.

The Fit 5 Pro sticks to this formula with a similar shape and size as the Fit 4 Pro. However, Huawei has refined the bezels, which are now just 1.8mm on all sides and made from aerospace-grade titanium alloy. Likewise, the case is made from aerospace-grade aluminium alloy, giving the watch a more premium feel.

I particularly like the woven strap, as it adds a more athletic look while offering better breathability. It is a default option for the Orange colorway, while the Black and White color variants come with the fluoroelastomer straps.

In terms of protection, the Watch Fit 5 Pro retains an IP6X dust-tight rating and 5ATM water resistance. Likewise, the display is protected by sapphire glass.

Speaking of the display, it has now grown to 1.92 inches, up from the 1.82-inch AMOLED panel on the Fit 4 Pro. Aside from the size, the brightness remains the same at 3,000 nits, which is already an exceptionally high figure. So, outdoor visibility should not be an issue at all.

Huawei has also significantly increased the internal storage on the Watch Fit 5 Pro to 64GB, up from just 4GB on the Watch Fit 4 Pro. So, that’s a massive upgrade in terms of storage.

In terms of connectivity, the Watch Fit 5 Pro supports Bluetooth 6.0 and NFC. It also comes with built-in GPS, along with support for NavIC for improved positioning accuracy.

The Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro also introduces a Mini-Workout mode, which tracks 10 body parts and offers 30 animated movements with step-by-step guidance, all demonstrated by a panda. That’s a pretty intuitive addition! The feature is designed to help you stay active even when you don’t have enough time for a full gym session.

For health tracking, the watch includes heart rate monitoring, SpO₂ tracking, sleep monitoring, stress tracking, and pulse wave arrhythmia analysis. These features are powered by Huawei’s new TruSense sensor system, which promises improved accuracy in heart rate, SpO₂, and sleep tracking compared to the previous Watch Fit 4 Pro. It also gets an ECG sensor and skin temperature monitoring.

Besides these, the Watch Fit 5 Pro supports 100+ workout modes, with dedicated tracking modes for activities like tennis, cycling, trail running, golf, and freediving. All your health and workout data can be synced with the Huawei Health app, which is compatible with both Android 9.0 and above and iOS 13.0 and above.

As for battery life, the Watch Fit 5 Pro packs the same 471mAh battery as the Watch Fit 5. Huawei claims up to 10 days of battery life with lighter usage and around 7 days with typical use. However, this drops to around 4 days with the Always-On Display (AOD) enabled. For charging, it supports wireless charging and takes around 60 minutes for a full charge.

The Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro is more of a refined upgrade than a complete redesign. It keeps the familiar design of the Fit 4 Pro while bringing meaningful improvements like a larger display, 64GB storage, upgraded TruSense sensors, and better battery life. The premium materials, sapphire glass, extensive health tracking, and 100+ workout modes also make it a compelling fitness-focused smartwatch.

However, at Rs. 43,990, it is considerably more expensive than the standard Watch Fit 5. So, if you already own the Fit 4 Pro, the upgrade may not be necessary unless you specifically want the newer sensors, bigger storage, and improved battery life. But for someone looking for a premium fitness smartwatch with a sleek design and long battery life, the Watch Fit 5 Pro is certainly worth considering.
