Huawei’s smartphone business is pretty much dead everywhere except in its home country. But their smartwatches have stuck around in Nepal. The original Huawei Watch Fit landed here back in late 2021, and they’ve kept the momentum going. Now, its fifth iteration, the Huawei Watch Fit 5, is heading to Nepal again for another round.

There is also a Pro variant of the Watch Fit 5; however, there is no news of it entering Nepal as of yet, so we will primarily focus on the standard Watch Fit 5 today.
What is the Price of Huawei Watch Fit 5 in Nepal?
Since the Huawei Watch Fit 5 has not officially entered the Nepali market, its official pricing is currently unknown. However, seeing how the Huawei Band 11 was recently launched at a significantly higher price tag compared to its predecessor, the Band 10, we can expect a similar trend for the watch.
Given that the Watch Fit 4 launched at Rs. 22,990 last year, the price for the Watch Fit 5 in Nepal could realistically land around Rs. 25,999.
The watch hit the global market in April 2026, and it’s cool how fast Huawei Nepal is moving to bring it here. But they haven’t started any teasers yet, so we could be waiting a slight bit longer before it’s actually available.
The Watch Fit 5 is coming as the next version of the Watch Fit 4, which has been selling like crazy. It’s completely out of stock on Daraz, and that strong local demand is probably why Huawei Nepal is fast-tracking the Fit 5 to Nepal pretty quickly after its global debut.
As I mentioned in my Band 11 article, I was a huge fan of the “Panda HuaHua” watch face on the Band 10 I’m currently using. These pet-themed watch faces are super unique and pretty adorable. Seriously, who doesn’t love pandas?
The Panda HuaHua watch face carries on with the Watch Fit 5. But setting aside the cute animations, has Huawei actually delivered enough real upgrades to justify getting this new model? Let’s check it out.

Huawei Watch Fit 5 Overview
One thing Huawei has consistently done well with the Watch Fit series is balancing smartwatch styling with fitness-focused practicality. With the Huawei Watch Fit 5, that approach just feels way more refined than it ever has before.

Moving away from the simple rectangular look of the past, Huawei has leaned into a much more structured, square-shaped aesthetic for the Watch Fit 5. Built primarily out of 100% recycled aluminum alloy paired with a durable glass fiber shell, the watch feels both eco-friendly and premium. It launches globally in five distinct colorways: Black, White, Silver, Green, and Purple.
Huawei has kept the watch incredibly lightweight at just 27g and remarkably slim at a mere 9.5mm thickness.
Up front, it features a 1.82-inch AMOLED panel with ultra-slim bezels, giving it a high 79% screen-to-body ratio. The watch also carries an IP6X dust resistance rating alongside its 5ATM water resistance, making it completely safe for swimming and shallow-water activities. Though you might want to keep it away from dust.
The display itself is one of the biggest upgrades. Huawei has pushed brightness all the way up to 2,500 nits, a huge jump over older Fit models. So, outdoor visibility should not be an issue at all.
Huawei has also massively upgraded the internal storage on the Watch Fit 5 to 64GB. This is a colossal leap forward compared to the older Watch Fit 4, which shipped with a restrictive 4GB of storage. While the massive 64GB storage is a huge leap, the HarmonyOS ecosystem still has limited third-party app support. You can store plenty of music, but advanced smartwatch apps found on Wear OS devices remain unavailable.
On the connectivity front, the Watch Fit 5 upgrades to Bluetooth 6.0 and offers improved NFC support across all colors, while retaining Bluetooth calling functionality. The rotating crown also returns with haptic feedback, offering smoother navigation through menus and apps.

On the fitness front, the Watch Fit 5 packs over 100 workout modes, covering everything from running and hiking to cycling and strength training. It also debuts a new “Mini Workout” mode with 30 animated, step-by-step movements to target specific muscle groups during short breaks. The Watch Fit 5 also introduces Fall Detection, which can automatically alert emergency contacts if it detects a hard fall. The real-world accuracy of this feature is still being tested by early users.

Health tracking includes heart rate monitoring, SpO₂ tracking, sleep monitoring, stress tracking, and pulse wave arrhythmia analysis. This is powered by Huawei’s new TruSense sensor system featuring a 6LED + 6PPG optical module, offering significantly improved accuracy in heart rate, SpO₂, and sleep tracking over the previous Watch Fit 4.
However, the standard Watch Fit 5 does not include an ECG sensor or skin temperature monitoring — those features are reserved for the Pro variant.
Now, one of the biggest advantages of the Watch Fit 5 over Huawei’s smart bands is its built-in dual-band GPS positioning system. Unlike connected GPS systems, the watch can independently track outdoor workouts without needing a paired smartphone nearby.
All health and workout data syncs directly with the Huawei Health app, which remains compatible with both Android (9.0+) and iOS (13.0+). Huawei also includes a large collection of downloadable watch faces, allowing users to customize the watch extensively based on their style.
As for battery life, the 471mAh battery can last up to 10 days on lighter usage and around 7 days with typical daily use, though this drops to about 4 days if you keep the Always-On Display (AOD) enabled. Charging is handled through Huawei’s magnetic charging system, which attaches quickly and securely. A full charge takes around 60-70 minutes.
