Huawei FreeBuds 4i Overview

Design

Huawei FreeBuds 4i is an in-ear style earbud with an Airpods like design. Its ergonomic design is supposed to provide you a snug and stable fit. The buds are also pretty light at just 5.5g each.

The pebble-shaped charging case is very compact and comes with a polished glossy finish. It comes in 4 colors: Red, Silver Frost, Ceramic White, Carbon Black.

Audio and ANC

Huawei FreeBuds 4i has a 10mm dynamic driver with a Polymeric diaphgram. This combo will supposedly provide rich instrumental harmonies, clear vocals, punchy bass, and finely balanced sound

It features a dual-mic system that comes with a slit-duct design that effectively reduces outdoor wind noise for voice calls.

The FreeBuds 4i comes with sensors that can actively detect and reduce ambient noise automatically. So, you don’t need to run on the ANC manually. Then, there’s also an Awareness mode that lets in surrounding noise.

Connection & Controls

Huawei FreeBuds 4i comes with Bluetooth 5.2 and has a standard range of 10 meters. It also supports Wear detection and a Pop-up pair feature but it does not have a Dual device connection feature.

Both earbuds have built-in capacitive sensors for intuitive touch controls. You can single tap for play/pause, double-tap for answer/end call, and long press to toggle ANC mode.

Battery & Others

The FreeBuds 4i is claimed to last 10 hours with a single charge with ANC off. And, up to 22 hours with the charging case. With ANC on, it will provide up to 7.5 hours on a single charge.

It also features a quick charge as a 10-min charge can provide 4 hours of music playback.
