Honor is back with its toughest and most premium X-series phone so far, the Honor X9d. While the phone launched globally quite a while ago, HONOR Nepal took its time before finally bringing it to the Nepali market.

The brand has consistently focused on making the X-series highly durable, and this year it pushes that strength even further.
What is the price of the Honor X9d in Nepal?
The Honor X9d price in Nepal starts from Rs. 54,999 (8/256GB) and goes up to Rs. 59,999 (12/256GB). The phone first launched globally in late September, and after being teased since early January, it’s finally available to buy from authorized HONOR stores, both online and offline, in Nepal.
Like most recently launched phones, the HONOR X9d comes with a noticeable price hike. At first glance, the increase may not seem drastic. But once you dig a little deeper, the story changes. The HONOR X9c previously offered a 12GB/256GB variant at Rs. 48,999, whereas the same configuration now costs Rs. 60,000. That’s a price jump of over Rs. 10,000.
To make the hike look less severe, HONOR has quietly introduced an 8GB variant, which we never saw on prior models like the X9b or X9c in Nepal. Either way, this represents a bigger price increase than what we saw with the Redmi Note 15 series, so there’s really no escaping it.
That said, it’s not all bad news. HONOR is trying to soften the blow with some attractive pre-booking offers. Buyers get a free HONOR Choice Watch 2 Pro worth Rs. 15,999, which effectively brings down the phone’s real-world price if you consider the bundled value.
On top of that, HONOR is offering a 1-year service package worth Rs. 20,000. And if luck is on your side, one buyer will even win a Deepal S05 valued at a whopping Rs. 57,99,999.

The Honor X series has never been about top-tier specs; that’s simply not what it’s built for. These phones are designed to survive drops and to literally keep running for days without needing a charge.
This time, though, Honor has doubled down on that identity and pushed things further. The X9d doesn’t just improve on durability and endurance; it also brings some genuinely impressive upgrades in the performance department compared to previous generations.
Alright, enough talk. Let’s jump straight into the full overview.
Honor X9d Overview
At first glance, the Honor X9d seems to follow the same design language as its predecessor, especially with that circular camera module. But look closer, and the differences become obvious. The curves are gone, completely. The X9d now features a flat back, flat sides, and a flat display.

But the real highlight of the X9d isn’t the design, it’s the durability. Honor claims the phone can survive drops from up to 2.5 meters, meaning it should easily handle not just pocket drops but even accidental falls from higher surfaces.
On top of that, the ingress protection has been upgraded to IP66/68/69/69K, giving it superior resistance against dust, high-pressure water jets, and submersion. It’s also the first smartphone to earn the SGS Triple Resistant Premium Performance Certification.
So yes, the phone is plenty durable. But what about endurance? Honor has that covered, too. The X9d comes with a massive 8,300mAh Si/C battery, which Honor claims can last up to 3 full days. With 5,000mAh+ batteries becoming the norm, Honor clearly went all-in to stand out here.

That said, charging remains respectable as well, sticking with the same 66W fast charging found on last year’s X9c.
Performance has usually been the weak link of the X-series, but things finally improved this year. Honor has equipped the X9d with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4. While it still can’t match the price-to-performance kings like the OnePlus Nord CE 5 or Infinix GT 30 Pro, it’s a much-needed upgrade over the X9c’s chipset.
As for memory options, the X9d comes in three variants globally: 8/256GB, 12/256GB, and 12/512GB. And breaking the previous trend where buyers only got the 12/256GB variant, this time buyers will have the additional option to choose the 8/256GB variant as well.
And speaking of similarities, both the camera setup and display remain mostly unchanged. You get a 108MP main camera, a 5MP ultrawide, and a 16MP selfie shooter. There’s a 1.5K AMOLED display on the front, which is now brighter and goes up to 1800 nits in HBM mode.
Lastly, the phone ships with Android 15 running on top of MagicOS 9. With Android 16 already out for a while, it would’ve made more sense for Honor to ship the X9d with the latest version. Still, Android 15 is fresh enough to feel relevant, so it’s not a major drawback.

The X9d definitely nails the looks, and it’s built like an absolute tank. It can shrug off accidental drops without breaking a sweat, and the battery is on a completely different level; no other phone in Nepal offers this kind of capacity at any price point.
Honestly, this phone almost encourages you not to baby it. Drop it? Don’t care. Forgot to charge it for days? Still don’t care. For users who prioritize durability and insane endurance above everything else, the X9d comes pretty close to being perfect.
Had this phone launched at last year’s pricing, it would’ve made total sense for anyone looking for a rugged phone with top-notch battery life. Introducing the 8GB/256GB variant was a smart marketing move, but at the end of the day, you’re still getting just 8GB of RAM, when not too long ago, you could’ve picked up a 12GB variant for less money.
Performance is where things start to fall apart. When you compare it to last year’s bangers like the Nord CE 5 or the Infinix GT 30 Pro, the HONOR X9d doesn’t even come close. That said, if we start seeing similar price hikes across the board in the coming months, who knows, the X9d might even start to look like a decent deal, and I sincerely hope it doesn’t come to that.
