Huawei, a Chinese multinational service company, is in a spree of launching new phones from past few weeks. The latest launch in China was from its sub-brand Honor in China which sports a quad-camera along with an almost bezel-less display.
If this smartphone lands in Nepal, we expect the Honor 9 Lite price in Nepal to be around Rs. 21,000 to Rs. 30,000 depending on which version you pick. However, with enough Huawei smartphones to choose from already what does this add to the market.
This phone comes with 5.65-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels sporting a pixel density of 428 PPI. It consists of an almost bezel-less screen with 18:9 aspect ratio. The reflective glass backing makes the phone a spectacle. The device is powered by 1.7 GHz octa-core Kirin 659 processor. There are three versions of the phone depending on the memory: 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage/4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage/3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Each variant supports micro SD expansion up to 256 GB. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 on top.
The Honor 9 lite has a dual camera setup on the rear with a 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel with phase detection autofocus and LED flash. The secondary front cameras is an identical setup excluding the LED flash. Both are capable of shooting at 1080p.

Honor 9 lite Price in Nepal (Expected): Rs. 21,000 – Rs. 30,000
Honor lite devices aim to provide cheaper alternatives for more expensive Huawei phones. While it does so on paper, it does so only slightly from its brother Honor 7x. The 18:9 aspect ratio gives it a good reason to buy over previous Huwaei phones already in the market. However, it faces tough competition from Xiaomi Redmi 5 and 5 plus. The 3000 mAh battery without quick charging is slight setback too.
