DJI Mini 4 Pro Overview

Design

The DJI Mini 4 Pro, like its predecessor, also has a foldable design. When folded, it only measures 148 × 94 × 64 mm, making this a very compact device albeit a bit larger than the Dji Mini 3 Pro.

The weight of the drone, however, is unchanged at 249g.

The drone carries four wide-angle vision sensors, which improves safety during flight and detects obstacle from all angles. It also features APAS (Advanced Pilot Assistance Systems) that auto brakes during flight to keep the drone safe.

The ability to take photos and videos in portrait orientation is still present and the Mini 4 Pro features a 60° max tilt angle to give more cinematic options.

With the DJI Mini 4 Pro, you can also use the DJI RC-N2. The remote controller has a 5.5-inch built-in touchscreen display that can reach 700 units of brightness and can be operated for a maximum of 3 hours.

Camera

It features a large 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor with dual native ISO Fusion and bigger 2.4μm 4-in1 pixels. The sensor has an aperture of f/1.7 and is capable of shooting up to 48MP images and 4K@100fps video.

The drone can also shoot HDR videos up to 4K@60fps. Users can shoot in DJI’s D-Log M color profile, which provides pro-level post-production control and creative flexibility.

As mentioned above, the sensor can still rotate 90 degrees to capture vertical photos and videos. This can be helpful for shooting TikTok or YouTube Shorts videos.

For stabilization, the drone comes with a 3-axis mechanical gimbal for tilt, roll, and pan. The mechanical range for the tilt is -135° to 80°, the roll is -135° to 45° and the pan is -30° to 30°.

Flight

It features four vision sensors and a pair of downward vision sensors making the Mini 4 Pro capable of Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing.

The Drone has features like Waypoint flight where the drone automatically follows a flight path. The Cruise Control allows the drone to help users reduce fatigue during long flights and the advanced RTH means that the drone can plan and execute a safe flight route back home.

Along with the Spotlight, and Point of Interest shooting mode, the Mini 4 Pro also features their new ActiveTrack 360° with enhanced subject tracking along with obstacle sensing and bypassing to achieve smoother, stable tracking.

The Mini 4 Pro also features DJI’s O4 Video transmission that can deliver 1080p@60fps live feeds from distances of up to 20km.

Battery

The DJI Mini 4 Pro comes with a 2590mAh battery, which can last up to 34 minutes on a single charge, according to DJI.

Users also have the option to buy an “Intelligent Flight Battery Plus”. It’s a 3850mAh extended flight battery that DJI says can last up to 45 minutes. Note that using this battery will increase the takeoff weight of the drone.

DJI Mini 4 Pro Price in Nepal and Availability

The DJI Mini 4 Pro price in Nepal starts from Rs. 1,42,000 and is Rs. 1,92,000 for the Fly More Combo Plus. It is available to buy via online platforms.

DJI Mini drone and accessory kit Price in Nepal
DJI Mini 4 Pro Rs. 142000
DJI Mini 4 Pro with Fly More Combo Plus Rs. 192000

The DJI Mini 4 Pro doesn’t bring a lot of changes to the already incredible DJI Mini 3. The notable major improvements would be the new Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing, the ability to record in 4K@100 fps, and the ActiveTrack 360°.

While it brings some exciting features to the table, if you already own the Mini 3 Pro, it may not be a worthwhile upgrade at that price tag.
