Colors is one of those companies that basically launch budget friendly phones in Nepal. Their budget friendly Colors Pride 1X was launched recently at a price point of Rs 8,495.

After Pride 1A and Pride 1E, this is the third phone in the Pride Series and it comes with some updated features in the software and hardware section. So, let’s look at an overview of the Pride 1X.

Colors Pride 1X: Let’s look at the specs

Starting with the display, the phone has a 5.45-Inch HD IPS Display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The screen isn’t the best but for budget category, it’s good enough.  The 1x comes with 1.3GHz quadcore MediaTek processor with 2 GB RAM and 16GB internal storage.

The phone is running on top of Android 9 (Pie). The processor may not be that powerful but with the 3000 mAh battery it can easily last you an entire day with medium usage. The phone does not contain a Fingerprint scanner but it does have Face Unlock. And it also supports dual SIM Slots.

Talking about the camera, there is a single 8MP camera at the back which includes Bokeh and Face Beauty Mode. Well, for this price range it is a good camera. The front has a 5MP selfie camera with LED flash.

My thoughts

The phone also supports 3G and 4G cellular networks along with VoLTE support. The quadcore processor, storage and OS in the device is kind of nice. The phone does miss some elements but considering the price point I think these features are attractive.

The processor could have been improved and I feel the fingerprint scanner should have been included. There are other phones in Nepal within this price range that have powerful processor, bezel-less display, fingerprint sensor and better battery life. However, even then the phone is good for under the price range of Rs 10,000.
