Best Phones Under 30000 in Nepal (February 2026 Updated)

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve told people, “30,000 muni ko ta phone liney nai haina.” No offence to the most popular smartphone category in Nepal (there are genuinely some great options around Rs. 20,000, which you can check out in our list of best phones under Rs. 20,000), but personally, I’d rather stretch my budget by another Rs. 10,000.

That’s because phones really start to get gooood once you enter the Rs. 30,000 segment! You begin to get a taste of the finer things in life (or tech): like better displays, cameras, and overall polish. More on that in the following segment:

What to Expect?

While the frames and back panels are still plastic, companies can sometimes experiment with their designs. OLED panels with better details and richer colours are to be expected, but LCDs may still pop here and there.

Performance starts getting good. You can expect to run popular titles like PUBG and Mobile Legends smoothly. And a few years of snappy experience isn’t too much of an ask either.

You could also get a multi-camera system. It’s not a guarantee, but it isn’t unheard of either. As for the battery, numbers can range. However, charging speeds have become fast enough that you need not worry about having to charge your phone in advance before leaving the house.

Software experience can be clean, too. But again, it’s not a guarantee.

From this point on, phones mostly start building on what this price range already offers. Think of it as a foundational category: you get the essentials right, and higher-priced phones simply add refinements on top.

As I mentioned earlier, this is where you start getting a taste of the finer things in tech.

*While this list is for the best phones under 30000 in Nepal, it may contain phones that exceed the price tag by up to Rs. 1,000. This is so that you don’t miss out on a solid choice due to a technicality.

*This list focuses primarily on helping you evaluate phones based on their “value for money” aspect, which is why some high-ranking models may not always be readily available in the market.

5. Infinix Hot 60 Pro+

Infinix Hot 60 Pro+

The Infinix Hot 60 Pro+, with its curved display and incredible thinness, is arguably the most attractive smartphone on this list. You may assume it prioritises form over function, but one quick look at the specs, and it’s a mind-bending phone.

PRICING

Rs. 29,999 (8/128GB)

KEY SPECS
6.78” 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED
MediaTek Helio G200
50MP | 13MP
5,160mAh | 45W Fast Charging

Pros

  • Beautiful design
  • Good overall specs

Cons

  • Limited trim
  • Lacks a multi-camera system

Thoughts on Infinix Hot 60 Pro+

Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ is a beautiful phone. It leaned heavily towards the “thin” aesthetic even before the iPhone Air and Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge were a thing. It’s such an eye candy of a phone that it was a contender for the category in the 2025 Edition of TechLekh Awards for best smartphones.

What’s absolutely great about this phone is that it isn’t just a looker. The specs are solid across the board, especially the display, which boasts a 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a sleek curved design. Its performance with the MediaTek Helio G200 might be on the weaker side for this price point, but it still performs within arm’s length of 5G chips like the UNISOC T760 that powers the next entry.

That said, calling this beauty a fallen angel wouldn’t be a stretch. It was originally placed in second spot in this list. So what happened? RAM shortage happened… which caused prices of all electronics to go up.

Now, I wasn’t exactly thrilled with Infinix Hot 60 Pro+’s pricing from the very beginning. It was Rs 1,000 more expensive than the Hot 50 Pro+, which had nearly identical specs and most importantly offered DOUBLE the storage! But, considering the competition, 60 Pro+ still did not feel out of place.

Then the RAM shortage drove up prices of everything, including this phone. The Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ now costs Rs 29,999, which, given its limited storage option, 4G-only chip, and its fleeting time in the market, feels like pushing the limits of what’s acceptable for the price.

4. HMD Crest Max

HMD Crest Max

The humble HMD Crest Max is a well-rounded phone and the most affordable option here. Its low price tag is not be mistaken for being a weak package. This phone offers very competitive specs, but future-proofing is its Achilles’ heel.

PRICING

Rs. 23,999 (8/256GB)

KEY SPECS
6.67” 90Hz FHD+ OLED
UNISOC T760
64MP+5MP+2MP | 50MP
5,000mAh | 33W Fast Charging

Pros

  • Affordability

Cons

  • Availability
  • No software updates promised

Thoughts on HMD Crest Max

The HMD Crest was a solid performer near the top of our best smartphones under Rs 20,000 list. I’ve already gone into detail on why that phone stood out there, so do check out that list for the full context.

The HMD Crest Max is essentially the regular Crest, but with an improved camera setup. If you read the Rs 20,000 list, you must know that the lack of a multi-camera system was one of the key reasons the Moto G35 edged past the standard HMD Crest. With Crest Max, however, the issue has been addressed thanks to a 64MP main camera and a 5MP ultrawide, making it one of just two phones on this list to offer a genuinely functional multi-camera setup.

That said, at the Rs 30,000 price point, its shortcomings are harder to overlook — the major one being the software. It is rather barebones, which I don’t entirely mind, as the clean experience has its own charm. The real issue, however, is that it boots on Android 14, which is a couple of years old. And no future updates are promised either, so you’re essentially stuck on the same software till the end of your phone’s lifespan.

While that’s a bitter pill to swallow, what sweetens the deal is that it’s the most affordable phone on this list — even after a recent Rs 1,000 price hike. At Rs 23,999, it’s easily one of the best phones under Rs 25,000 (do check that list out too). In fact, it’s punching above its weight, comfortably cracking the top five best phones under Rs 30,000 as well.

Its availability is also a bit of an issue, since HMD only recently entered the Nepali market. But given the recent price update confirmed by the distributor, it’s safe to say the phone is still around.

3. Redmi Note 15 4G

Redmi Note 15 4G

Redmi Note 14 4G may have received a hefty price jump compared to its predecessor, but that did not stop it from grabbing the bronze medal for best phone under Rs 30,000 in Nepal. It shares a fair bit of similarity to the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+. However, it leads the charge in a few key areas, including wider trim options and general availability.

PRICING

Rs. 29,999 (6/128GB) | Rs. 35,999 (8/256GB)

KEY SPECS
6.77” 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED
MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra
108MP+2MP | 20MP
6,000mAh | 33W Fast Charging

Pros

  • Massive battery
  • 18W reverse charging

Cons

  • Ads-heavy software

Thoughts on Redmi Note 15 4G

The Redmi Note series is a staple in the budget and mid-range segment, so the Note 15 4G making it onto this list isn’t surprising. What is surprising, however, is that it still holds its ground despite a hefty price jump over its predecessor.

The Redmi Note 15 4G is very similar to the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+. Both feature a curved design, boot on Android 15, and use near-identical chipsets. The Helio G200 on the Infinix is technically an iterative upgrade over the Helio G100 on the Redmi. However, with benchmark differences of under 10%, it is not a meaningful gap in real-world use.

Infinix does pull ahead in a few areas, such as a 144Hz display (vs 120Hz) and faster 45W charging (vs 33W). That said, Redmi counters with advantages that matter more on a daily basis. You get higher-resolution cameras on both the front and back, a much larger 6,000mAh battery — the biggest on this list, and storage options — something the Infinix lacks entirely.

On top of that, Redmi promises a longer software support window, totalling four years. But perhaps the biggest reason it edges ahead, even over the HMD Crest Max, is availability. Xiaomi is the top-selling smartphone brand in Nepal, with a deep and reliable supply network. So unlike HMD or Infinix, the Redmi Note 15 4G will be much easier to get, even as the year goes on.

2. Samsung Galaxy A17/M17

Samsung Galaxy A17 and M17

Samsung, in the Nepali market, is synonymous with reliability. If you don’t ask too much from your phone, just want it to feel smooth and work without many issues in the future, then picking either A17 or M17 is probably the best way to go.

PRICING

M17: Rs. 24,499 (4/128GB) | Rs. 27,999 (6/128GB)
A17: Rs. 28,999 (6/128GB) | Rs. 30,999 (8/128GB) | Rs. 34,999 (8/256GB)

KEY SPECS
6.7” 90Hz FHD+ AMOLED
Samsung Exynos 1330
50MP+5MP+2MP | 13MP
5,000mAh | 25W Fast Charging

Pros

  • Great software
  • Longevity
  • OIS camera

Cons

  • Old-school display
  • Confusing models/variants

Thoughts on Samsung Galaxy A17/M17

Another entry, another staple. Samsung Galaxy A-series and M-series are another regular in the Nepali budget/midrange segment. Just like how the Samsung Galaxy A07 topped our best phones under Rs 15,000 list and even cracked the best phones under Rs 20,000 list, the Galaxy A17/M17 carry a similar momentum.

While this phone is a very standard product and initially didn’t rank this high, the price disruption caused by the global RAM shortage hasn’t affected it so far. As a result, a phone that didn’t look like much of a good deal suddenly looks absolutely amazing!

Don’t get me wrong, the thick bezels and ancient-looking waterdrop notch it has aren’t exactly appealing. But the absolutely OneUI paired with SIX years of future updates, elevates the value of the Samsung Galaxy A17/M17 way beyond its okay hardware. Not bad, just OK. Then there is an absolutely amazing brand value, and after-sales support you get with Samsung.

One major issue with this these phones is the models/variants. As you may have noticed, I’ve been lumping the Galaxy A17 and Galaxy M17 together, even though they belong to two different series. The reason is simple: the differences between them are so minimal that they’re not even worth treating as separate phones.

As such, this will for sure confuse the average buyer, who’s now left wondering, “Should I get the A17 or the M17?” And to find that out, check out our review video of the Samsung Galaxy M17, where we also go through the limited differences it has with the Galaxy A17:

1. CMF Phone 1

CMF Phone 1

At the top of our list is the CMF Phone 1 — the winner of TechLekh Awards 2024: Best Value Award. This phone feels almost perfect, and despite being the oldest launch in this list, has stood the test of time.

PRICING

Rs. 31,699 (8/128GB) | Rs. 36,299 (8/256GB)

KEY SPECS
6.7” 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED
MediaTek Dimensity 7300
50MP+2MP | 16MP
5,000mAh | 33W Fast Charging

Pros

  • Great performance
  • Good software
  • Modular design

Cons

  • Variable pricing
  • Lacks a multi-camera system

Thoughts on CMF Phone 1

Let’s start by addressing the elephant in the room — the price. Yes, I was supposed to include phones that only exceeded the Rs 30,000 threshold by 1,000 rupees. But I have seen the CMF Phone 1 available at around Rs 30,500 during offers, and it’s too good a phone, so I’ll be including it in this list.

The performance with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 is next level. This silicon powers phones, such as the CMF Phone 2 Pro (successor to this phone), which is the best phone under Rs 40,000. So, I am not exaggerating when I say the performance is next level!

The rest of the specs are solid as well. What feels a bit out of place with this phone is the lack of a secondary camera — a functional one, at least. Maybe that’s why the company overcompensated for it in the follow-up phone.

Being in the Nothing ecosystem, the software is top-notch. It boots on Android 14, but is slated to receive the Android 16 update. Which I know isn’t as attractive as Samsung’s six years of updates, but we are also dealing with phones that promise no updates at all. So, two OS and three years of security patches isn’t bad at all.

Furthermore, this phone actually made headlines with its modularity. So, the design also sets it apart from the crowd. While all the phones on the list so far have had one major issue at the very least, this one feels the most “complete”, which is why it snags the gold medal for the best phone under Rs 30,000 in Nepal.

Honourable Mentions

Now that we have listed out our picks for the top 5 smartphones under 30000 in Nepal. Now we will round off this list with a few honourable mentions, consisting of phones that just missed the list or at least deserve a shout-out!

Tecno Spark 40 Pro

Tecno Spark 40 Pro

The Tecno Spark 40 Pro’s specs are somewhere in between the Redmi Note 15 4G and the Infinix Hot 60 Pro. Its sole 8/256GB variant is actually more competitively priced than the Redmi, so from a pure price-value perspective, the Tecno Spark 40 Pro is a better pick.

But unfortunately, it exceeds our pricing threshold, even with Rs 1,000 wiggle room. And the availability issue is there as well. So, I am placing it here as an honourable mention.

PRICING

Rs. 31,799 (8/256GB)

Redmi Note 14 5G

Redmi Note 14 5G

The Redmi Note 14 5G remains a great pick under Rs 30,000, arguably more so than ever. With the recent series update, you get the 4G-only variant at the same price, which has weaker performance, cameras, and overall value.

This phone previously sat comfortably in the top five and would still deserve that spot. However, it’s nearly out of stock now. Given its limited availability and fleeting relevance, it sits as an honourable mention. If you’re interested, it’s best to grab one while you still can.

PRICING

Rs. 29,999 (8/256GB), Rs. 34,999 (12/512GB)

OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite

OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite

The OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite sits on a similar footing to the HMD Crest Max in terms of performance. It does offer a slightly larger 5,110mAh battery and much faster 80W charging, but the HMD pulls ahead on affordability.

Had the Nord CE4 Lite been priced a bit more aggressively, it would have made the list.

PRICING

Rs. 30,999 (8/256GB)

Motorola Moto G64

Motorola Moto G64

The Motorola Moto G64 suffers from a similar issue to the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite. It packs an even larger 6,000mAh battery, a more capable MediaTek Dimensity 7025 chip, and an ultrawide camera to strengthen its case.

However, all of these additions come at the cost of an LCD panel, which at prices approaching Rs. 30,000, feels like a significant compromise.

PRICING

Rs. Rs. 27,499 (8/128GB) | Rs. 30,999 (12/256GB)

Honor X7d

Honor X7d

The Honor X7d, despite being one of the newest launches, doesn’t hold up particularly well against the other phones on this list. Sure. It has the largest battery in this category at 6,500mAh, and it’s the most affordable phone to offer 512GB storage.

But that’s about it. Beyond those two points, there isn’t much about the phone that really makes us want to recommend it.

PRICING

Rs. 30,999 (8/256GB) | Rs. 32,999 (8/512GB)
