Benelli Leoncino 251 to Launch in Nepal: A Stylish Scrambler that Comes at Reasonable Price?

As we are approaching NADA Auto Show 2019, almost all brands are prepping up to bring their A-game at the event. Everyone wants to be the talk of the event, but that’s not easy. Compared to the previous year, there’s a whole lot of upcoming cars and motorcycles to be showcased at the event. Standing out might be one of the daunting tasks, but it is not impossible.

In the latest news, Benelli Nepal joins the list with two new bikes in Nepal: Benelli Leoncino 251 and Benelli TRK 251. Additionally, Benelli Leoncino 251 is an scrambler motorcycle with a very familiar “naked” design. Similarly, Benelli TRK 251 is an adventure motorcycle with the “adventure sports” design in mind. Interestingly, Benelli Leoncino 251 is supposed to be a scrambler, however, it looks very different than the standard scrambler design.

If the name “Leoncino” sounds familiar, you’re not wrong. Almost a year ago, Benelli launched the Benelli Leoncino 500 which comes with a powerful engine. Compared to that, Leoncino 251 comes with a smaller engine, but the same looks.

Right now, we’re going to do a quick rundown on Benelli Leoncino 251. As we’ve previously stated, Benelli Leoncino 251 is confirmed to launch in Nepal, and we will get to see it at NADA Auto Show 2019. As for the pricing, the Benelli Leoncino 251 price in Nepal is Rs. 6,30,000.

Benelli Leoncino 251 Overview

Benelli Leoncino 251 is powered by a 249.2cc liquid-cooled fuel-injected engine. Furthermore, it can generate a max power of 27bhp at 9500rpm and max torque of 21Nm at 7500rpm. Moreover, it is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a 12.5-liter fuel tank. In comparison with the adventure sibling, it generates slightly more power but holds slightly less fuel due to the smaller fuel tank.

Talking about the features, you will get all the stuff you’d normally see in a premium motorcycle, like Upside-down Forks, Dual-Channel ABS, large instrument cluster among others.

Like I’ve said before, Benelli Leoncino is a scrambler motorcycle. Going by the looks, we can take it for a modern-looking scrambler over a traditional one.
