The Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 remains available in Nepal and has grown more refined over the years. Following the 2024 update, it now stands stronger with several quality improvements.
HH Bajaj, the official distributor of Bajaj motorcycles in Nepal, continues to offer the Pulsar NS160 in its lineup. First introduced in early 2017 in Nepal, the NS160 has been a long-standing member of the Pulsar Naked Sport (NS) series.
For a long time, it was Bajaj Auto’s sole contender in the 160cc category. Although it wasn’t flawless at launch, Bajaj steadily refined the NS160 over the years. Improvements like a BS6-compliant engine, enhanced Noise-Vibration-Harshness (NVH) levels, an updated instrument console, and the addition of ABS have made it more refined, while still retaining the iconic NS design language.
While the improvements were underway, the prices were also rising steadily at the same time.
What is the Price of Bajaj Pulsar NS160 in Nepal?
Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 price in Nepal is Rs. 3.93 Lakhs.
Bajaj Nepal earlier sold the bike in two variants: BS4 ABS and BS6 Dual-Channel ABS. However, the company has now discontinued the BS4 ABS model and continues to offer only the BS6 (FI) Dual-Channel ABS variant for sale.
Today, the Pulsar NS160 still remains as a viable performer in the 160cc segment. While the arrival of the newer N160 has drawn some attention away, the NS160 continues to hold its ground as a capable and sporty commuter.
With that introduction out of the way, let’s take a look at everything about the Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 in Nepal for July 2025.

Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 Overview
Design
The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 mirrors the design of its bigger sibling, the NS200, with unmistakable aggression and sharp, chiseled styling. No matter the angle, its bold aesthetics clearly reflect the Naked Sports DNA.
At the front, the signature Wolf-Eyed Headlamp gives the NS160 a fierce presence. While the Halogen unit continues unchanged, it now feels outdated and due for an upgrade.
On a more positive note, Bajaj has finally equipped the bike with Upside Down (USD) forks, replacing the older Telescopic setup and giving the front end a much-needed refresh. However, the rest of the fascia remains familiar, staying true to the NS identity.
From the side, the NS160 maintains its reputation for visual appeal. The sharp tank extensions, Engine Cowl, blacked-out engine casing contributing to a dual-tone bodywork all contribute to a dynamic, aggressive profile. The bike also features a Split-Seat Setup, striking 17-inch Alloy Wheels, large disc brakes at both ends, and a neatly integrated Underbelly Exhaust, all of which enhance its sporty character.
At the rear, Bajaj has retained the iconic Twin-Strip LED Tail Lamps and Split Grab Rails. Importantly, the latest version now comes with wider NS200-sized tires, finally addressing the long-standing criticism about the previously slim rear setup.

Moreover, it is mated to a 5-speed gearbox with a 12-liter fuel tank capacity.
The NS160 may not outmuscle every 160 cc rival with its 0.112 PS/kg Power‑to‑Weight ratio, yet its Perimeter Frame, Lightweight Build, Upside‑Down Forks, and firmly tuned suspension work together to make this sports commuter agile, engaging, and genuinely fun to ride.
Moreover, it can achieve a top speed of 120 kmph.

Rivals
A natural rival to the Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 is the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V. However, an equally significant threat comes from within, its own step-sibling, the Bajaj Pulsar N160.
From a performance standpoint, the Apache RTR 160 4V has a slight edge. It comes equipped with several performance-focused elements like Race-Tuned Fuel Injection (RTFI), Multiple Ride Modes, a Lower Kerb Weight, and Shorter Gear Ratios, all designed to make it quicker on the road. On paper, it also leads with 17.55 PS of power and 14.73 Nm of torque, both of which slightly surpass the figures of the NS160. Moreover, in terms of features, the Apache RTR 160 4V continues to impress with Adjustable Brake and Clutch Levers, something no other bike in this segment offers. Add to that a Fully Digital Instrument Cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, and the RTR clearly sets itself apart. To top it off, it’s more affordable than the NS 160.
That said, the NS 160 does have its merits. It offers Dual-Channel ABS and USD Forks and its performance figures are still commendable for the segment, and it tries to hold its own against the competition. However, its toughest competition may not be the Apache, but rather the Pulsar N160.
The N160 emerges as a more refined and evolved version of the NS160. It features Updated Styling, a more favorable ergonomics, better Lighting Setup (especially the Bi-Projector LED Headlamps), USD Front Forks, a Digital Instrument Cluster with Connectivity, ABS modes, and a Larger Fuel Tank. With these upgrades, the N160 sets a new benchmark for what a commuter-friendly 160cc motorcycle should offer.
While the NS 160 can hold its ground against the Apache RTR 160 4V, it clearly falls short when compared to the N160. Though the NS160 may have a slight advantage in price, even a short test ride reveals the noticeable gap in refinement, ride quality, and overall character. For many potential buyers, that difference will be enough to choose the N160 instead.
