Asus Vivobook Pro 15 OLED now Available at NeoStore

The Asus Vivobook Pro 15 OLED 2024 is the latest addition to Asus’s Vivobook lineup. It is now available for purchase in the Nepalese market.

Asus has refreshed the Vivobook lineup by introducing the Vivobook Pro 15 OLED N6506 for the year 2024. The Vivobook Pro 15 OLED N6506 comes in two variants, the N6505MU and the M6506MV. Here we will be talking about the latter one.

The laptop has an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor, an OLED screen, 24GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage.

Asus Vivobook Pro 15 OLED 2024 (N6506MV) Overview

Design

The Vivobook Pro 15 OLED comes in a strictly business, no bells and whistles look. The laptop has a monotone grey or silver color applied on its body with the only thing breaking the color being the ‘ASUS VIVOBOOK’ logo etched on the lid.

Both the palm rest and the display lid are made out of the same metal material while the bottom panel is plastic. The chassis has a matte finish to reduce fingerprints and smudges.

On the sides, you can find the vents of the laptop along with 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, a Thunderbolt 4 port, an HDMI 2.1 port, a 3.5mm Audio Jack, an RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port, a DC-in port, and an SD 4.0 card reader.

Opening up the laptop will give you access to the dual-toned backlit keyboard and the touchpad. The touchpad features an active built-in dial function, which allows users to make precise adjustments and control various tools in supported applications.

Display

The Vivobook Pro 15 OLED, as the name implies, comes with a 15.6-inch OLED screen. Specification-wise, the screen has a resolution of 2880 x 1620 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The display can reach a typical brightness of 400nits and a peak brightness of 600nits when viewing HDR content. It comes in a 16:9 aspect ratio and has a glossy finish, which gives the display a premium look.

Finishing the look of the display is the 5MP camera. The camera supports Windows Hello biometric authentication and has a physical privacy shutter.

Hardware

This Vivobook Pro 15 OLED variant comes with an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor. The processor is a 16-core, 22-thread chip with 6x performance cores, 8x efficiency cores, and 2x low-power cores. The processor can get a maximum clock speed of up to 4.8GHz. 

With the focus on AI, Intel has implemented an NPU (Neural Processing Unit) onto the Core Ultra 7 processor. Intel states that the NPU performs AI tasks faster than GPUs and CPUs. Also included with the CPU is an Intel Arc integrated GPU. This GPU is used when the laptop does not require much power to handle graphical tasks.

Graphics-wise, the Vivobook Pro 15 OLED (N6506MV) comes with a dedicated NVIDIA Geforce RTX 4060 graphics processor to handle applications and apps that require heavy graphical processing.

With the included MUX switch, you can switch from integrated graphics to the discrete GPU for improved performance.

To cool all those powerful CPU and graphics processors, the Vivobook Pro 15 OLED comes with Asus’s IceCool Pro thermal technology. The cooling configuration comes with dual fans and five copper pipes.

The laptop features 24GB of RAM, with 8GB soldered to the motherboard and the remaining 16GB inserted into the SO-DIMM slot. The laptop also comes with 2x M.2 2280 PCIe slots of which, one slot is occupied by a 1TB M.2 NVME PCIe SSD for storing applications and files.

Features like Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E are also present for connecting your laptop wirelessly to other devices and the internet. Speakers tuned by harman / kardon are also included.

Battery

To power the laptop, Asus has included a 4-cell 75Wh Li-ion battery that is arranged in a 4S1P formation. Asus has stated that the battery can charge up to 50% in 30 minutes and can last a whole day of usage.

The battery charges through a proprietary 200W barrel pin charger.
