Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 Overview

Design

The ROG Zephyrus G16 features an ErgoLift hinge with 180° motion. When the chassis is raised slightly, the ergonomics of the laptop is increased. As usual with the Zephyrus G series, the G16 features an asymmetrical dot matrix design with a prismatic film on the lid with 8279 holes.

The 84-blade arc flow fan along with 4 heatsinks placed at the flanks of the laptop, work together to help cool the laptop. For heat transportation, Asus has also added 6 heat pipes to the G16 with Thermal Grizzly metal liquid compound.

Display

The laptop has a 16-inch FHD+ 1920 x 1200 IPS display. It is a 16:10 aspect ratio display with a refresh rate of 165Hz and Asus claims a response time of 7ms.

The display has 100% sRGB and 75.35% AdobeRGB coverage. The anti-glare display also features G-sync and Dolby Vision HDR.

The ROG Zephyrus G16 is powered by Intel’s 13th gen processors. You can get the laptop with Intel’s i7-13620H. The i7-13620H is a 10-core processor (6P + 4E) that boosts up to 4.9GHz.The laptop also features Nvidia’s latest 4000 series GPU. The 4060 GPU to be exact. Asus has kindly included a MUX switch to bypass the iGPU and unlock performance by directly connecting to the high-performance dedicated GPU. The 8GB RTX 4060 GPU can boost up to 2300MHz at 120W.

The laptop has Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) with Bluetooth v5.3. As the Zephyrus series is targeted not only for gamers but also for professionals of various industries, the laptop comes with a card reader. Asus has included a microSD UHS-II card reader with the laptop. All the other standard ports including USB-A, USB-C, Ethernet, and HDMI 2.1 are also available with the laptop.
