The iPad Pro sits at the very top of Apple’s tablet lineup, and the company has now refreshed it with the brand-new iPad Pro M5, which is already available in Nepal.

If you look back at the iPad Pro series over the past few years, the generational leaps haven’t exactly been groundbreaking, especially after Apple switched to the M-series chips. So the big question is: does the new iPad Pro M5 finally bring a meaningful upgrade? Let’s find out.
What is the Price of the Apple iPad Pro M5 in Nepal?
The iPad Pro M5 price in Nepal starts from Rs. 1,75,000 (256GB) and Rs. 2,10,000 (512GB) for the 11-inch variant. While the 13-inch variant costs Rs. 2,30,000 (256GB) and Rs. 2,65,000 (512GB).
The tablet is available for purchase, and you can buy the device at Apple-authorized retailers like Oliz Store and Evostore.
When it comes to tablets, the Nepali market hasn’t really seen many flagship options. Sure, there’s the Galaxy Tab S11 now, but before that, we didn’t get the S10 series, or even the S9 flagship lineup, officially in the country.
And now with the iPad Pro M5 stepping in, Apple once again fills that flagship gap. It’s the only tablet that truly pushes the boundaries of performance and creativity here, making it the go-to choice for anyone who wants the absolute best.
And among Apple’s own offerings, the iPad Pro naturally sits at the very top. So, enough chit-chat, let’s dive into what the new iPad Pro M5 brings to the table this year.
Apple iPad Pro M5 Overview
We usually don’t see dramatic design overhauls in Apple products, and the iPad Pro M5 is no exception. In fact, it’s practically a carbon copy of last year’s iPad Pro M4, right down to the dimensions. You still get the same sleek aluminum back and frame, along with full Apple Pencil support.

The display side remains familiar, too. Apple has carried over the Ultra Retina Tandem OLED panel from last year. As usual, the iPad Pro M5 comes in two sizes, 11 and 13 inches, with resolutions of 2420 × 1668 and 2752 × 2064 pixels, respectively. And of course, ProMotion is here as well, offering that smooth 10–120Hz variable refresh rate.
Where things actually get interesting is the performance. Apple has switched to its latest M5 chip this year. According to the company, the new silicon is 6.7× faster in pro rendering with ray tracing compared to the iPad Pro M1, and up to 4× faster in AI image generation.

Sure, comparing it to a four-year-old chip might feel a bit… convenient. But to be fair, the M1 was so good that it still holds up brilliantly today. And against that, the M5 sits in an entirely different league.
This new processor comes in two configurations: A 9-core CPU variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB storage and a 10-core CPU variant with 16GB RAM and 1TB/2TB storage. For the Nepali market, we’re getting the 9-core CPU model.

Camera hardware hasn’t seen any meaningful change. You get the same 12MP rear and 12MP front shooters, supported by a LiDAR scanner, identical to last year’s setup.
Battery details (as always with Apple) are a bit vague. But for what it’s worth, the 11-inch model packs a 31.29Wh cell, while the 13-inch gets 38.99Wh. Charging wattage isn’t clearly stated either, though Apple claims you can hit 50% in 30 minutes using a 40W or higher adapter. Inside the box, you still get the familiar 20W charger.

The iPad Pro M5 doesn’t offer a dramatic leap over last year’s model. Yes, it packs the latest M5 chip, but the real-world performance jump isn’t big enough to justify an upgrade for someone already using the M4.
But when you look at the iPad Pro M5 on its own, it absolutely stands out. The fact that the same M5 chip also powers the MacBook Pro says a lot; this tablet is clearly built for serious power users who want to get actual work done on a portable form factor.
And in the context of Nepal, where there are no true flagship tablets competing in the market, the iPad Pro M5 sits proudly and comfortably at the top, almost in a league of its own.
