Young but popular Nepali ISP CGNET has introduced three internet plans at attractive prices under its new Super Value Plan. The plans are 75Mbps, 150Mbps, and 300Mbps named Sprinter, Popular, and Rockstar, respectively.
With the introduction of these new plans, the ISP has removed the previous plans from its official website. Now, Super Value Plan is the only internet package this ISP is offering for residential users.
CGNET is advertising the 75Mbps plan at Rs. 680 per month, the 150Mbps plan at Rs. 925 per month, and the 300Mbps plan at Rs. 1,244 per month.
However, the above-mentioned price is the average price a user has to pay per month if they pay for a 1-year package. That too, without VAT included. If you decide to go for a monthly subscription, the actual price is slightly higher.
CGNET Super Value Plan: Internet Plans and Pricing
The CGNET Super Value Plan includes 75Mbps, 150Mbps, and 300Mbps internet plans. The installation charge and drop wire charge are free. The rental charge for the dual-band router is also free for a 12-month subscription.
But for a monthly subscription plan, a user needs to pay Rs. 1,500 rental charge for the dual-band router. And for a 3-month subscription plan, a user needs to pay Rs. 1,000.
Additionally, users of all plans need to pay Rs. 500 as a deposit, which is refundable when subscriber returns the router in working condition.
The 75Mbps internet plan, which is called the Sprinter Plan, is the cheapest among the three. The 12-month subscription for it costs Rs. 8,160 without VAT. While the monthly subscription plan costs Rs. 730 without VAT.
Likewise, there is a 150Mbps plan called the Popular Plan. As the name suggests, the majority should select this plan since it strikes a good balance between cost and internet speed.
The 12-month subscription cost of the 150Mbps plan is Rs. 11,100 without VAT. Similarly, the monthly subscription cost of the plan is Rs. 1,050 without VAT.
The Rockstar Plan is the most expensive internet package among the three. It provides up to 300Mbps of internet speed. The package costs Rs. 14,928 without VAT for a 12-month subscription. The monthly subscription, on the other hand, costs Rs. 1,399 without VAT.

CG NET’s Fair Usage Policy (FUP) for Super Value Plan
Fair Usage Policy, or FUP, is a policy that ISPs use to throttle consumers’ internet speeds if they consume too much of the ISP’s bandwidth.
The CGNET Fair Usage Policy (FUP) only applies to individual subscription packages. Data usage is calculated every month by combining download and upload data.
There are three levels of speed throttling based on the customer’s usage throughout the course of a monthly cycle. Multiple threshold values are defined for different plans.
When customers exceed the Level 1 Fair Usage Quota threshold, their speeds will be throttled to 50%, 30% when they exceed the Level 2 threshold, and 10% when they exceed the Level 3 threshold.
If a subscriber’s FUP quota has been reached, their data consumption counter will be reset on the first of each month, and their internet speed is restored.
Below is the table of CGNET’s FUP for the Super Value Plan.
For 300 Mbps
FUP Level | Data Usage Quota | FUP Speed Policy |
---|---|---|
Original Data Bandwidth | Data Consumption to 1900 GB | 300 Mbps Original Speed |
