Kaymu, the largest online shopping site in the country, has announced its Mega Electronics Sale. The sale is only on the electronic items listed on the site. Currently, the sale is in motion and will run until tomorrow, March 29.
Kaymu has provided with 3% to 55% discount on different items on the sale. A total of 188 products is available from a range of electronic brands that include mobile phones, TV’s, home appliances, audio and computing products, and more.
The name of the sale depicts it as a “Mega Sale”, however, I don’t find enough reasons that draw a conclusion to be it one big electronic sale. There is not much to expect from this sale. Most of the products listed on the site are not that new and fascinating. It doesn’t necessarily entail that they are outdated, they are usable. But, who would love to cash in and buy old products when one can get the similar new products in almost the same price point. And now, talking about the recent products, the new iPhone’s, iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are offered on the sale under 3% discount but the price of these two smartphones even after the discounts are still high in comparison to the retail stores. Why should one spend cash to buy these overpriced iPhones, even with a discount offered? Why?
Apart from iPhones, low budget smartphones from the brands like Micromax, YU, Lava, Leagoo, Kivi, Samsung, Lenovo, Spice, BlackView, and Nokia are available, yet again, not at a whopping discount that we would love to see in a Mega Sale.
The sale has listed only 11 items under its Audio section that means there are not many options to choose. Even though, if you are in a desperate need of an earphone, JBL T210 is one of the decent deal and a good product you can probably think to buy from this sale.
On the overall, this Mega Electronics Sale follows a similar trend of Kaymu’s previous online sales – not interesting! Discount on the products are not too compelling for one to buy and there are way fewer products offered in some categories. Few decent deals are available on laptops, earphones, and cameras but the deals on smartphones are totally disappointing.
Well! Shout out to Kaymu, we expected a bigger sale than this on a Mega Sale.
