The Himalayan Hydro Expo 2018 has been fixed from January 5 to 7 of 2018, reports New Business Age. It will be organized at the Exhibition Hall, Bhrikutimandap. This expo is being jointly organized by Independent Power Producers’ Association Nepal (IPPAN) and Expo & Event Management Services Private Limited (EEMSPL).
This expo will have over 300 stalls from hydro power developers, associated equipment manufacturers and suppliers, investors, banks and construction companies among others.
A statement released by the organizers said that there will be over 150 stalls from international companies. There will be delegations from from India, China, Germany, South Korea, United States, United Kingdom and Norway will participate in the expo.
This expo aims to be a knowledge sharing platform for the interested parties like hydro power developers, manufacturers, and engineers. It will bring together parties from various aspects of hydro power development. It is expected to synergize hydro power development within the country and facilitate the government’s target of producing 17,000 megawatts of energy in 7 years.
It will also host many competitions targeted to students.
Held with the support of Nepal Government, National Planning Commission, it is being endorsed by Nepal Electricity Authority, Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Confederation of Nepalese Industries, Nepal Bankers’ Association, Youth Community for Nepalese Contractors and supported by Nepal Tunnelling Association (NTA), TUPIN, Nepal-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry. And it is managed by Event Solution Pvt Ltd.
