Samsung has officially confirmed the launch of its next-generation flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. The much-anticipated device will be unveiled on February 25 at the Galaxy Unpacked event, alongside the Samsung Galaxy S26 and Samsung Galaxy S26+.

However, there’s no shortage of leaks, including official renders and full specifications, well before the launch event. So without further ado, here’s everything we know so far about the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.
What is the Price of the Samsung S26 Ultra in Nepal?
With recent price hikes across the smartphone industry, it is only natural to expect that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could also see a price increase. However, reports so far remain mixed. While some sources suggest that Samsung may keep prices unchanged, others claim that the new lineup could be noticeably more expensive in certain regions.
A recent report claims to reveal the pricing for all storage variants of the Galaxy S26 Ultra in France. According to the leak, the 256GB model is expected to start at €1,469, which is the same as its predecessor. Meanwhile, the 512GB and 1TB variants appear to be slightly more expensive, priced at €1,669 and €1,969 respectively.
With the ongoing memory shortage, a price hike seems highly likely, though the final pricing could vary significantly depending on the market. As a result, it is still too early to accurately predict the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra’s price in Nepal. For now, all we can do is wait for the Unpacked event and hope for the best.
Now that we’ve covered the price, let’s dive into the leaked specifications of the S26 Ultra.
Samsung S26 Ultra Overview
Leaked renders suggest that the overall design and dimensions of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will remain largely similar to its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. The most notable change appears to be the introduction of a camera island, resembling the design seen on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.

There has been considerable buzz surrounding Samsung’s upcoming “Privacy Display”, which is said to prevent others from viewing the display when looked at from an off-angle. Samsung has seemingly hinted at this feature itself, teasing a video that says it is “coming to Galaxy very soon,” further strengthening speculation that it could debut with the Galaxy S26 series.
However, a recent report detailing the display specifications makes no mention of the privacy feature. Instead, it highlights a 6.9-inch AMOLED 2X panel with a 3120 x 1440 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Armor 2 protection.

In terms of performance, there is little doubt that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset. As seen in previous years, this customized “for Galaxy” version is expected to feature slightly overclocked prime CPU cores compared to the standard variant, offering improved performance.
As for storage and memory, the Ultra is likely to be available in three configurations: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Reports suggest that the top-tier 1TB model will come with 16GB of RAM, while the 256GB and 512GB variants may be limited to 12GB RAM.

I was honestly expecting Samsung to go a bit more “Ultra” this time around with the camera setup, especially considering how aggressively competitors have been upgrading their hardware. However, based on current leaks, the camera system looks quite familiar, with no major hardware changes to speak of.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to feature a 200MP primary sensor, paired with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 5x optical zoom, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. On the front, the 12MP selfie camera is also expected to remain unchanged.
While the core hardware appears similar to its predecessor, reports suggest that the maximum aperture has been improved across the cameras, with the main sensor reportedly featuring a brighter f/1.4 aperture.
Similarly, early rumours suggesting that Samsung would upgrade the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra with a 5500mAh battery now seem unlikely. Recent leaks indicate that the device will continue to feature a 5000mAh battery, similar to its predecessor.
On the brighter side, wired charging is expected to receive a slight boost to 60W. However, despite supporting Qi2 wireless charging (25W), reports suggest that the phone may still lack built-in native Qi2 magnets.
As expected, the S26 Ultra will come with One UI 8.5 on top of Android 16 with up to 7 major Android upgrades.

Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is shaping up to be a refined upgrade rather than a revolutionary one. While it brings incremental improvements in performance, display protection, and charging speeds, much of the core hardware appears familiar, including the cameras. If these rumoured specs come true, I will be disappointed, to be honest. That said, Samsung’s AI features could once again steal the spotlight, as they have in previous generations.
It will also be interesting to see how Samsung handles the likely price hike with the new S26 series. Will the company manage to keep prices in check? For now, all eyes remain on the official unveiling to see what surprises Samsung may still have in store.
