CFMoto Nepal is set to bring an unexpected twist to its lineup, as the brand prepares to introduce a new dual-sport motorcycle. The all-new 250 Dual is scheduled to arrive in January 2026, and the early signs suggest it could be a seriously exciting addition to the market.

Dual-sport motorcycles are built to handle both the street and the dirt, and that versatility shows in the way people use them. You’ll see riders in tank tops and shorts popping wheelies in the middle of town, while fully geared adventurers push the same machines deep into rough trails.
Moreover, in recent times, their popularity has climbed steadily worldwide as highlighted by reports from Credence Research and Dataintelo. Nepal’s scene is just as exciting, but dual-sports here fall into a pricey niche because of import duties and overall market constraints.
This is where CFMoto seems to have sensed an opening. The company wants to drop a dual-sport that does not blow up your budget, at least not compared to what the competition currently demands.
However, CFMoto is not banking on affordability alone. They want the 250 Dual to feel like a complete package, and on paper it certainly looks like they are trying. The bike has already launched in Mexico and the Philippines, and early feedback from those markets has been positive. Now it is time to see if that praise holds up when we break down what the 250 Dual actually offers.
What is the Price of CFMoto 250 Dual in Nepal?
CFMoto 250 Dual price in Nepal is yet to be revealed. But as per our estimation, the CFMoto Dual price in Nepal can be well expected to be under Rs. 6 Lakhs.
And while 6 Lakhs is in no way an affordable entry point, that is quite aggressive when you compare it to the other existing dual-sports bike like the Honda XR 190L and Yamaha WR 155R. Moreover, the said price is under 6 Lakhs so we are expecting some aggressive pricing from CFMoto Nepal.
One part is affordability, well relative affordability, but another part is what kind of compromises comes with it. The good news is: Not much. The 250 Dual is rather a properly packed bike. CFMoto 250 Dual Overview
Exterior
The bike we have been casually calling the CFMoto 250 Dual actually carries the official name CFLite 250DUAL. CFLite is a sub-brand under CFMoto, built to make motorcycling more accessible for entry-level riders in emerging markets. The model coming to Nepal follows that mission closely, though it doesn’t compromise on substance. One look at it and you can tell they didn’t cut corners.
The overall design leans into youthful practicality. It blends rugged usability with a sharp, good-looking aesthetic that feels instantly appealing to new riders. Since it is a dual-sport machine, its purpose is clear: tackle everyday urban commutes and still feel ready for light off-road runs or casual weekend detours.

The front end makes this obvious. High fenders, USD forks, an exposed radiator belly, spoke wheels, and knobby tires all shout dirt readiness. The LED headlamp and DRL setup adds a futuristic vibe, and the shape subtly gives off that “Autobots from Transformers” expression if you can relate to it.
From the side, the bike looks lean and purposeful. The steel tube frame is clearly visible and the graphics are surprisingly well executed for a budget-minded bike. The wheel setup is proper dual-sport business: 21 inches at the front and 18 inches at the rear. It gives the bike a tall front stance while keeping the rear planted. This combination boosts front-end control and improves rear-wheel traction, which is exactly what you want on mixed terrain.
Ground clearance sits at a healthy 245 mm, so feel free to point it toward rough tracks without overthinking it. The engine area stays well protected with steel bash plates. A little concern for short riders might be the seat height, which measures 840 mm. But the slim seats and profile makes it manageable even for riders around 5.5 ft tall. It’s not a beginner’s comfort spec, but it’s definitely workable.

A double swingarm support sits at the rear, something you normally expect on proper dual-sports, dirt bikes, and adventure machines. The exhaust remains tucked neatly under the seat area, which helps during water crossings or uneven surfaces.
The rear section is pretty minimal. Except a compact LED tail lamp there isn’t much else happening visually. Functionally though, the bike earns points for including a rear carrier rack right behind the pillion seat. For touring or even daily use, this small addition becomes a huge practical advantage.
Additionally, the 250 Dual might be available in three colors: Grey, Green, and White.

The instrument cluster on the 250 Dual is a digital LCD panel. It is quite compact in size, like really compact. But it seems to pack information quite well including speedometer, tachometer, odometer, gear position indicator, fuel indicator, and ABS indicator.
Performance
The CFMoto 250 Dual runs a 249cc single-cylinder engine built around an SOHC layout. It uses liquid cooling and fuel injection, and CFMoto has tuned it to meet the stricter Euro5+ emission standard so they can ship it to markets like ours without any drama.
This engine puts out 24.4 PS @8000 rpm and delivers 22.5 Nm of torque @7000 rpm. CFMoto may have positioned the Dual 250 against the Honda XR 190L or the Hero XPulse 210, but these numbers push it dangerously close to the Honda CRF 300L territory. That makes the Dual 250 look slightly overqualified for its intended segment, but in a good way.

The compression ratio sits at 11.3:1. For perspective, the CRF 300L runs a 10.7:1 setup. This tells us the Dual 250 squeezes more energy out of each combustion cycle, giving it a livelier low-end, mid-range and a perkier throttle feel, although it will naturally run a bit hotter and demand good cooling. The liquid-cooling is just for that purpose.

The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and even throws in a slipper clutch, which is a welcome addition on a dual-sport at this price. With a 13-liter fuel tank, the SOHC engine combined with a high compression ratio should deliver decent mileage (in theory). However, this setup prefers good-quality, higher-octane fuel, which can be tricky to find consistently in Nepal.
Additional Details
The dimensions are 2120 mm in length, 910 mm in width, and 1225 mm in height, while the wheelbase is 1415 mm.
Suspension duties are handled by Upside Down Forks at front and adjustable Monoshock in the rear. Both suspensions come with a 160 mm travel each which is pretty good for its dual sports nature.
For braking, the 250 Dual features a dual-disc, dual-channel ABS setup, with a switchable mode for the rear one.
The ground clearance of CFMoto 250 Dual is 245 mm. And, the kerb weight sits at a light 154 kg.

Rivals
The CFMoto 250 Dual steps into a surprisingly lively arena, where it faces the Honda XR 190L and the soon-to-arrive Hero XPulse 210. The XPulse 210 carries the benefit of everything Hero learned from the XPulse 400V, which spent its time in the real world collecting data, breaking a sweat, and proving a point.
The XR 190L, on the other hand, is the seasoned big daddy of this category, a mid-life escape machine that prefers a calm and composed pace over youthful aggression.
The 250 Dual stands apart from both. It clearly targets younger riders who want sharper styling, stronger grunt, and a motorcycle that actually feels worth saving up for. Riders in their early twenties might still need to throw tantrums to their parents, but getting approval and the money for the 250 Dual is far easier than convincing them to drop around Rs. 8 Lakhs on the XR 190L.
Yes, Honda’s reliability, ruggedness, and long-term ownership are solid facts in Nepal, but in a price-sensitive market those strengths do not always translate to sales. That narrows the real showdown to the XPulse 210 vs the 250 Dual.
Hero Nepal previously hinted at a tentative price of Rs. 5.50 Lakhs to Rs. 6 Lakhs for the XPulse 210. With ongoing discussions between Hero Nepal and Hero India, the launch timeline still floats in uncertainty. If Hero hits that pricing, the XPulse 210 could become a serious rival.
It may not beat the 250 Dual outright, since the CFMoto enjoys earlier peak power, higher torque, and a lighter kerb weight, but the XPulse 210 still packs enough bite to stay close, if not higher.
Plus, Hero is stacking it with appealing equipment: switchable ABS modes, a Dakar-style windscreen, hand guards, a TFT display, and full smartphone connectivity. Those touches matter in this segment, especially with the XPulse 400V already setting a positive tone for Hero’s adventure lineup.
Given all this, CFMoto Nepal seems ready to enjoy the early mover advantage until the XPulse 210 actually lands. That is a smart play.
The company plans to launch the 250 Dual in the first month of 2026, and with sensible pricing, strong marketing, and a bit of trust-building among dual-sport enthusiasts, CFMoto could secure a sturdy foothold. The brand has the momentum, and if it executes properly, it can steal the spotlight.
Let’s see how the story unfolds in the months ahead.
