Bikers Nepal, the authorized distributor of ZXMoto motorcycles in Nepal, is set to make its official entry into the Nepali market with the ZX Moto 500RR, a motorcycle that first made its public appearance at CIMAMotor 2024 in China. The bookings for the ZXMoto 500RR have already started. For the initial launch, the company is bringing in 15 units, and 11 of them have already been booked.

Bookings can be made at the Bikers Nepal showroom in Gairidhara. For those who have already reserved a unit, deliveries for the first batch are scheduled to begin in January 2026. With interest already building, it’s time to break down what the ZXMoto 500RR actually offers and whether it lives up to the hype or the price tag.

ZX-500RR Overview

ZXMoto 500RR carries a strong 90s superbike vibe with its flat tank lines and sharp fairings. It may resemble older Honda CBRs at first glance, but it stands out with ZXJC badging and a functional winglet. The full LED lighting setup includes twin LED projectors with an auto-headlight system and an LED DRL strip above the housing. When paired with the Neon color option, it gives off a look that feels very close to the Kawasaki ZX4R. Other color choices include Black, White, and Cherry Red.

It is powered by an inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC EFI engine. It produces 84.29 PS at 13,500 rpm and 46 Nm of torque at 11,500 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox (with slipper clutch) and a 15-liter fuel tank.

The 500RR also gets a TFT color display that works as both a GPS and an infotainment interface, controlled through switchgear on the right handlebar. It comes with a steering stabilizer as well. For rider safety and control, the bike includes Dual-channel ABS, Traction Control, a Quickshifter, and selectable Riding Modes.

Suspension duties are handled by 41mm USD forks at the front and a rear monoshock. Both ends are fully adjustable for preload and damping, matching its performance-focused character. It rides on wide 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels with 120/70 front and 180/55 rear tyres.

Braking performance is supported by 300 mm dual floating discs with TAISKO 4-piston opposed calipers at the front, and a 220 mm disc with a 2-piston TAISKO caliper at the rear. Despite being a high-capacity inline-four, the bike maintains an impressive kerb weight of just 168 kg, along with a ground clearance of 132 mm.

ZXMOTO 500RR Price in Nepal: Rs. 16,95,000

The 500RR has the looks and the soundtrack to turn heads anywhere. It nails that 90s superbike nostalgia and even delivers the rare inline-four charm at a price that feels unreal in today’s market. But beneath the excitement lies a bigger question: what happens after the purchase?

ZXMoto is still unproven in Nepal. There is no established service record, no long-term reliability data, and no clear sense of how easily parts will be available. The asking price of 17 lakh only amplifies those concerns, especially when established options like the KTM 390 lineup and the CFMoto 450SR S deliver strong performance, proven support, and better overall value at significantly lower prices.

The distributor’s past performance also doesn’t inspire full confidence. Their handling of the CX motorcycles has been inconsistent, suggesting it may take time before this brand gains the experience and infrastructure needed to match bigger players in after-sales care.

Yet the appeal of the 500RR is undeniable. If you have always wanted something with the stance, presence, and drama of a Honda CBR600RR but at nearly half the cost, this is the closest you will get. Just be sure you are buying it for the thrill it promises, not the reliability it has yet to prove.

What do you think about the ZX Moto 500RR? Does it justify its high asking price? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
