Nothing shook the market when it launched the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite, the company’s first-ever budget smartphone under its own name. It landed in Nepal back in November 2025, and seven months later, the phone is getting its second price bump.

Since the (3a) Lite’s first price bump, the smartphone market has changed drastically. But somehow, the phone managed to avoid any major hike until now. The big question is, with this new pricing, is it still a good value for money? Let’s find out.
What is the price of the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite in Nepal?
The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite launched in Nepal at the same price as the CMF Phone 2 Pro, costing Rs. 37,199 for the 8/128GB variant and Rs. 42,499 for the 8/256GB model. A few months later, the price went up by as much as Rs. 2,000, bringing it to Rs. 38,999 and Rs. 44,499, respectively.
Even after that increase, the pricing was still fairly reasonable, especially considering what the competition was offering at the time.
Now, in mid-2026, the phone has been hit with yet another price hike. The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite price in Nepal now stands at Rs. 40,999 for the 8/128GB variant and Rs. 45,999 for the 8/256GB model. That translates to a further Rs. 2,000 increase for the base variant and Rs. 1,500 for the higher-end option.
The phone is available for purchase through all authorised retailers. Customers can also avail 0% EMI financing for the phone at select outlets.
Nothing has been on quite a roll lately. Most of their phones have hit that sweet spot: unique design, clean and minimal UI, solid cameras, and reliable value for money.
Back when CMF was still a direct subsidiary of Nothing, it carried that same philosophy forward with devices like the CMF Phone 2 Pro, blending style and substance at a great price.
But now that CMF has officially become an independent subsidiary, it seems Nothing wants to reclaim some space in the budget market. So, what did they do? They seemingly took the CMF Phone 2 Pro, gave it a Nothing-style makeover, and voilà, we have the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite.
Now the big question is, does it bring anything truly new to the table, or is it just CMF in disguise? And most importantly, does the new price affect its value? Let’s find out.

Nothing Phone (3a) Lite Overview
Like most phones from Nothing, the Phone (3a) Lite sticks to the brand’s signature design language. It sports a transparent glass back, and at first glance, you wouldn’t peg it as a budget phone; it looks surprisingly premium.

The dimensions are mostly familiar with the CMF Phone 2 Pro; the only difference being that the Phone (3a) Lite is slightly thicker at 8.3mm. True to the lineup, it also features the Essential Key, keeping the same thoughtful design cues as its siblings.

Up front, you’re greeted by a massive 6.77-inch screen. The bezels are a touch thicker than high-end phones, but they’re symmetrical, giving the display a clean, balanced look. The Flexible AMOLED panel runs at FHD+ resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is standard for a budget device. Brightness hits a peak of 3000 nits, or 1300 nits in HBM mode, making it easy to use even in bright sunlight.
Under the hood, the Phone (3a) Lite is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro, the same chip you’d find in the CMF Phone 2 Pro. Just with different suffixes that really mean nothing. *no pun intended* It comes with 8GB of RAM and your choice of 128GB or 256GB storage, with microSD support for extra flexibility.

The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite features a triple-camera setup, comprising a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. The photography side of things isn’t as attractive as the CMF Phone 2 Pro, which flaunts a 50MP dedicated telephoto lens, one of a kind at this price.
And of course, the Phone (3a) Lite doesn’t skimp on software. It runs Nothing OS 3.5 on top of Android 15, keeping the clean, minimal interface that fans of the brand love. Nothing offers 3 years of OS upgrades, one of which came in early 2026. So as of June 2026, 2 years’ worth of upgrades remain. The device will also get six years of security updates.

The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite remains a solid smartphone. Its distinctive design, clean software experience, and capable processor still make it an easy recommendation. And considering some brands are offering 6GB RAM and a 4G processor at this price, the price hike does not hurt its value proposition too much.
That said, the CMF Phone 2 Pro continues to be the more compelling option for most buyers thanks to its versatile camera setup, especially the telephoto lens. Meanwhile, gamers may find the Infinix GT 30 more appealing. It offers a similarly strong overall package while putting a much greater emphasis on gaming performance and features.
