Vivo is gearing up to launch the V50 Lite in Nepal with both 4G and 5G variants. Given the strong reception of the regular V50, the Lite version has the potential to make a solid impact in the market.
What is the Price of Vivo V50 Lite in Nepal?
The Vivo V50 Lite price in Nepal could be Rs. 36,999 (8/128GB) and Rs. 39,999 (8/256GB) for the 4G variant, and Rs. 58,999 (8/256 GB) and Rs. 62,999 (12/256GB) for the 5G variant.
Vivo’s latest addition, the V50 Lite, positions itself just below the main V50 lineup. This time, Vivo is introducing a 5G version as well, bringing notable upgrades in both performance and features.
Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the 4G variant, which sees little to no improvement over its predecessors.
Let’s go into detail and see what the Vivo V50 Lite 4G and 5G have to offer.

Vivo V50 Lite Overview
Design
The vivo V50 Lite carries forward the design language of the V-series but with a few compromises to keep costs in check. Unlike its premium sibling, the vivo V50 Lite features a flat plastic frame and a plastic back.
Ingress protection also sees a slight improvement with an IP65 rating. Compared to last year’s V40 Lite, which only had IP64, it’s progress nonetheless. And the phone is also MIL-STD-810H compliant.
The camera module is styled similarly to the standard V50, giving the phone a familiar yet fresh look. However, when it comes to the actual camera specs, things are more modest (we’ll get into that shortly).
One area where Vivo deserves credit is the display. The V50 Lite boasts impressively slim bezels and a 94.2% screen-to-body ratio. The only minor gripe is the slightly thicker bottom chin, which breaks the uniformity just a bit, but it’s not a dealbreaker by any means.
Display
The vivo V50 Lite features a slightly larger display than its predecessor, now measuring 6.77 inches. Despite the size bump, the rest of the display specs remain unchanged. You’re still getting an AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2392 pixels and a variable refresh rate that switches between 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz based on content.
Brightness is another strong point here—the display peaks at 1800 nits, with 1200 nits under High Brightness Mode (HBM). That said, it’s worth noting that the panel doesn’t support any form of HDR, which means you won’t get enhanced contrast or color depth in supported content.
Hardware
The 4G variant of the vivo V50 Lite sticks with the same old Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 processor we’ve seen in the last two generations—V40 Lite and V30 Lite.
Meanwhile, the 5G version gets a bit of an upgrade with the MediaTek Dimensity 6300. This chipset is newer and offers slightly better performance. When comparing the two processors, the Dimensity 6300 should deliver roughly 8% better performance than the Snapdragon 685—nothing groundbreaking, but still a step forward.
Both models come with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage out of the box. However, the 5G variant comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. But we can expect higher RAM and storage configurations to roll out sometime down the line.
Cameras
The Vivo V50 Lite comes in two camera configurations, depending on the variant. Both the 4G and 5G models share a 50MP main sensor powered by the Sony IMX882, but the secondary camera differs. The 4G variant sticks to a basic 2MP depth sensor, similar to the V40 Lite, while the 5G model upgrades to an 8MP ultra-wide shooter for added versatility.
Up front, things remain unchanged with a 32MP selfie camera housed in a punch-hole cutout.
The phone also features vivo’s AI Aura Light Portrait, which intelligently adjusts color temperature to enhance low-light portraits. Additional imaging features include AI Erase, Photo Enhance, and Document Scanner—directly accessible from the Gallery.
Battery and OS
Vivo has seriously stepped up its game in the battery department—both variants of the V50 Lite come packed with a massive 6,500mAh battery. That’s right, even bigger than the one on its premium sibling, the V50. And topping it off is 90W fast charging support.
According to Vivo, the phone can go from 0 to 100% in just under 58 minutes and reach 50% in only 27 minutes. The company also claims a solid 5-year battery health lifespan, a feature first promoted with the V40 Lite.
On the software side, the V50 Lite boots Android 15 with vivo’s Funtouch OS 15 skin on top. However, the brand has yet to confirm the duration of software support for this device.
Vivo V50 Lite Price in Nepal and Availability
The vivo V50 Lite price in Nepal could be Rs. 36,999 (8/128GB) and Rs. 39,999 (8/256GB) for the 4G variant and Rs. 58,999 (8/256 GB) and Rs. 62,999 (12/256GB) for the 5G variant.
Vivo V50 Lite | Price in Nepal [Expected] |
---|---|
4G 8/128GB | Rs. 36,999 |
4G 8/256GB | Rs. 39,999 |
5G 8/256GB | Rs. 58,999 |
5G 12/256GB | Rs. 62,999 |
The V50 Lite is a smaller and stripped-down version of the popular V50. The 4G variant doesn’t offer much of an upgrade over its predecessor, the V40 Lite, which is why the pricing could remain largely the same.
The 5G version brings performance improvements and adds an ultra-wide lens—something the V40 Lite lacked. However, with its expected pricing close to the regular V50, the V50 itself might be the better pick.
