Infinix Note 40 Overview
Design
In terms of design, the Note 40 comes with a more squared look and has a flat display paired with flat side rails and a flat rear panel. On the front, you get a hole punch display that’s surrounded by thin bezels.
The side rails, coming in a shiny metallic finish, house the power and volume buttons on the right. The SIM card slot, the main speaker grille, the USB-C port on the bottom, and finally the secondary speaker grille on the top.
Moving to the back, the camera modules and flash are enclosed within a large square-shaped island. This camera island resembles a plaque and features a brushed metallic surface that adds a premium look to the phone. Other than that, the device is rated IP54 dust and water-resistant.

Display
Display-wise, the smartphone comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display that has a resolution of 1080 x 2436 pixels. This gives the panel a pixel density of 393 ppi.
The Corning Gorilla Glass protected panel has a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 1300 nits. Moreover, an optical fingerprint sensor is also included under the display.
Hardware
In terms of hardware, the Note 40 comes with a MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate processor, the same one found in its Pro cousin.
The 6nm octa-core processor comes with 2x high-performance Cortex-A76 and 6x low-power Cortex-A55 cores. A Mali G57 coprocessor handles the graphics.
Memory-wise, the device comes with 12GB RAM that’s paired with 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
Besides that, there are dual speakers tuned by JBL and an ‘Active Halo’ RGB light system on the rear which glows when the phone receives any notification or message.
Camera
Now, let’s talk about the camera setup in the Note 40. Infinix has marketed the Note 40 as a ‘triple camera’ phone of which the main one is a 108MP shooter with PDAF. With the high megapixel count, the camera can digitally zoom up to 3x without facing a drop in image quality.
The accompanying cameras are a 2MP f/2.4 lens and an unspecified camera. What these two auxiliary lenses do has not been specified by Infinix. Completing the setup is a 32MP selfie shooter.
In terms of video, the rear camera can shoot videos up to 1440p at 30 fps whereas the selfie camera can take videos up to 1080p at 30fps.
Battery and OS
The Infinix Note 40 comes with a 5000mAh battery that charges through a USB-C port at a maximum rate of 45W. Besides that, the phone supports wireless charging up to 20W and reverse wired and wireless charging.
On top of all this, Infinix has included some nifty features like FastCharge 2.0, bypass charging, multi-speed charging, and the inclusion of a separate power management chip that Infinix calls the Cheetah X1 chip.
Infinix has shipped the Note 40 with Android 14 that has XOS 14 skin applied on top. Also, with the inclusion of AI features in the software, the phone also has some generative tools and performance enhancement modes when performing tasks.
