Redmi 13 4G with 108MP Camera Officially Launched in Nepal

Xiaomi has launched its latest smartphone, the Redmi 13, in Nepal. The device is priced in the budget category.

The Redmi 13, not to be confused with the Redmi Note 13, has a MediaTek processor, IPS display, and a dual camera setup. The smartphone has a glass sandwich body made of Gorilla Glass.

Xiaomi Redmi 13 Overview

Design

The Redmi 13 has a flat glass back with varying patterns based on its color. The rear panel features separate cutouts in the top left corner for the cameras and flash ring. The Redmi logo is located in the bottom left corner of the back panel.

Moving onto the sides, the flat rails include a fingerprint sensor/power button and volume buttons on one side, a SIM card slot on the opposite side, a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top, and a USB-C port with a speaker grille at the bottom. Additionally, the phone is certified IP53 splash and dust-resistant.

Display

The Xiaomi Redmi 13 has a 6.79-inch IPS LCD display with a hole punch cutout for the selfie camera. The screen is framed by bezels that are slightly thicker at the bottom, giving it an asymmetrical appearance.

With a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels, the display has a pixel density of 396 ppi. It supports a maximum refresh rate of 90Hz and achieves a peak brightness of 450 nits, which can extend up to 550 nits in HBM (High Brightness Mode).

One neat feature of the display is its ability to detect and ignore accidental touches from water or liquid droplets which Xiaomi calls ‘Wet touch technology.’

Hardware

Powering the Xiaomi Redmi 13 smartphone is a Mediatek Helio G91 Ultra 12nm processor. The octa-core chip has 2x Cortex-A75 high-performing cores and 6x Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. Handling the graphics is a Mali-G52 coprocessor.

In terms of storage options, the phone is available with 128GB storage paired with 6GB of RAM and a 256GB storage variant with 8GB of RAM.

The phone comes with an IR blaster, support for external storage, and memory extension, which temporarily allows a portion of the main storage to act as the RAM.

Cameras

Xiaomi has equipped the Redmi 13 with dual cameras. The main rear camera is 108MP with an f/1.8 aperture and supports PDAF. It is accompanied by a 2MP macro lens with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front, there is a 13MP selfie camera with an f/2.5 aperture.

Both the front and rear cameras can record videos at up to 1080p resolution and 30 frames per second.

Battery and OS

Talking about the battery, the smartphone comes with a 5030mAh Lithium battery that supports 33W fast charging.

Finally, about the operating system, the Xiaomi Redmi 13 comes with Android 14 with HyperOS skin applied on top.

The Redmi 13 price in Nepal is Rs. 18,999 (6/128GB) and Rs. 21,999 (8/256GB). The phone is available for purchase on various e-commerce platforms and at physical retail outlets throughout the country.

The Redmi 13 is a budget to low-midrange smartphone featuring an IPS LCD display, a Helio G91 processor, and a 5030 mAh battery. It offers solid build quality given its price range, and notably, Xiaomi has equipped it with a 108MP main camera.
