Oppo A12 Receives Price Cut in Nepal – Now Available at Rs. 14,990

On the occasion of Nepali New Year, Oppo has dropped the price of Oppo A12 in Nepal.

Oppo A12 price in Nepal now starts at Rs. 14,990 for the 3GB RAM variant. So, you are getting Rs. 3,600 discount on the original price of Rs. 18,590. The discount is only valid on the 3GB variant.

Oppo A12 Overview

Design

Oppo A12 looks like Realme C2. It has a plastic back with a plastic frame and they are calling it 3D Diamond Blaze Design. On the rear, it has a dual-camera setup along with a fingerprint sensor.

On the front, it has a waterdrop notch display with minimal bezels. Design-wise, it looks exactly the same as the Realme C2. It comes in two colors: Blue and Black.

Display

Oppo A12 has a 6.22 inches IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 720 X 1520 pixels. It has Gorilla Glass 3 protection and offers 270 PPI density.

The display comes with Blue Light Shield what will protect your eyes by filtering out harmful blue light.

Performance

In terms of hardware, It has a Mediatek Helio P35 chipset. Along with it, it has 3GB RAM/32GB ROM and 4GB RAM/64GB ROM.

Helio P35 has an Octa-core (4×2.35 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU and PowerVR GE8320 GPU.

This is an entry-level chipset which is old and has been used in older Oppo devices such as Oppo A5s. The phone will do fine with general tasks but gaming won’t be enjoyable.

Camera

Oppo A12 has a dual-camera setup on the rear with 13MP main camera and 2MP depth camera. The rear camera can capture videos up to 1080p 30fps.

Whereas, it has a 5MP camera on the front for selfies. The front camera can also capture 1080p videos.

Battery

It comes with a 4230 mAh battery along with 10W charging. There is no fast charging support in the Oppo A12.

The battery should be enough for more than a day.

Moving on it runs on the ColorOS 6.1. And, it also has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Oppo A12 price in Nepal is Rs. 14,590 for the 3/32GB variant and Rs. 20,790 for the 4/64GB variant. It is available in the Nepali market via retail stores.

Oppo A12 looks exactly like the Realme C2 and also shares similar hardware. It has an Helio P35 chipset which is an old entry-level chipset.

The design and build quality are also exactly like the Realme C2. The battery and 720p display might seem fine for the price but every other thing looks pretty weak. On top of that, you can get very powerful phones around the 20k price segment.
