Design

The X-Age ConvE Mini Pod 5W comes packaged in a cube-shaped, compact body. The sides of the speaker are mainly made up of soft-touch plastic with the only metal part being the front grille. The speaker also comes with a lanyard loophole that makes it easy to carry around.

The rear of the device is covered by a plastic shroud that is pockmarked with holes to assist with the acoustics of the speaker. The USB-C charging port, AUX port, USB Type-A port, and microSD card slot are all situated here.

The buttons to control music, adjust volume, and toggle speaker mode are all on the top along with the power on/off button. One neat feature of the Mini Pod 5W is the added audio visualizer on top. The visualizer has several animation patterns that can be changed by clicking the Sun icon button.

The speaker comes with two rubber pads on the bottom that provide cushion and reduce vibration on whatever surface the speaker is placed on.

In the audio department, the device features a single 5W transducer with 4Ω of impedance. The speaker features a 52mm (2-inch) driver unit with a signal-to-noise (SNR) ratio of ≥ 65dB.

The speaker connects to your audio device through Bluetooth 5.0. The operating range is stated to be up to 10m. On top of that, the speaker can also play music from a MicroSD/TF card, USB drive, and 3.5mm AUX jack.

Other features of the X-Age ConvE Mini Pod 5W are its ability to pick up radio signals and operate as an FM radio, play in TWS mode by pairing with another speaker, and pick up or decline calls via Bluetooth.

The X-Age ConvE Stereo 20W speakers are powered by a 1200mAh battery that charges through a USB-C port at 5V. According to X-Age, the battery can give between 4 and 6 hours of playback.
