Tootle, a ride sharing startup, has won the Wai Wai Seedstars Kathmandu 2017. It is a local competition of the Seedstars World that was jointly organized by Microsoft Innovation Centre Nepal and UNDP.

The eight best seed-stage tech startups were chosen out of 61 to pitch their innovative business ideas during the national finale of the competition that was held on Monday, October 23.
The startups pitched in front of a jury panel consisting of Asgar Ali from eSewa, Rabindra Shrestha from Prestellar Ventures, Siddhant Raj Pandey from Business Oxygen, Himesh Dhungel from Millennium Challenge Competition and Rosie Keller from Seedstars.
Besides Tootle, Honeyguide apps and NepXpress were selected as top 3 startups of the competition.
A few of the other startups pitching their ideas on the event were GharBheti, Krishi Ghar, Product with Story, Sajilo Marmat Sewa, and SochWare.
Along with their glorious victory, Tootle has received an opportunity to represent the country at the Global Seedstars Summit in Switzerland. Tootle will be competing with 65+ nations to win up to USD 1 million in equity investments. It will also be able to tap the network of 2500+ investors and mentors from around the world.
A week earlier, Tootle also had won the Slush Global Impact Accelerator 2017 Pitching Competition.
