
On Thursday, The Supreme Court (SC) has issued an interim order not to immediately install the embossed number plates in the vehicles.
A single bench of Chief Justice (CJ) Gopal Prasad Parajuli on Thursday has issued such order on the writ petition filed by Bharat Basnet. Basnet had filed the petition stating that the embossed number seemed like the Indian number plates.
The Backstory:
The Department of Transport Management (DoTM) had started to install the embossed number plates in the vehicles since 21st August.
On the other hand, DoTM has started to install the embossed numbers in the motorcycles as well.
