Samsung Nepal has launched a new consumer campaign called “Remit मा Benefit”, which is a part of their broader “सपनादेखि सम्भावनासम्म” initiative. This campaign is aimed specifically at Nepali migrant workers and their families back home.

Given that, Nepal received nearly NPR 1.5 trillion (that’s 15 Arab if you want it in Nepali numbers, by the way) in remittances in this fiscal year, it’s not a small audience Samsung is speaking to.
Samsung “Remit मा Benefit” Campaign
The premise of the campaign is straightforward: receive remittance through IME Remit, walk into a store, and unlock a set of exclusive benefits on Samsung products. The campaign bundles three benefits:
- Up to 6% cashback via Khalti on the purchase of Samsung smartphones, TVs, refrigerators, and washing machines
- Up to 180GB bonus data on Ncell recharge (smartphones only)
- 24-month EMI through HFL
How to avail it?
The process is fairly simple, though it does require a few moving parts:
- Receive remittance through IME Remit
- Visit a store with your IME Control Number
- Choose your product and apply for a loan through HFL (if needed)
- Buy an Ncell pack to unlock the bonus data (on smartphones only)
- Receive eligible cashback on Khalti
It’s worth noting that this offer is explicitly for remitters and their dependents transacting through IME Remit. If you’re not routing money through IME, you won’t qualify.
The partners
Samsung has partnered with some of the heavy-hitters of the Nepali market: IME Remit on the remittance side, Khalti for cashbacks, Ncell for Data benefits, HFL for financing, and HIM Electronics and Triveni Byapar Limited as retail partners.
Speaking on the launch, Mr Pranaya Ratna Sthapit, Senior Director, MX Business, Samsung Nepal, said:
Through our “सपनादेखि सम्भावनासम्म” campaign, we aim to honour their (millions of Nepalis working abroad) contribution by making innovative technology more accessible to their families back home.
Samsung “Remit मा Benefit” Campaign: Conclusion
The campaign is live now. If someone in your family is sending money home, then it’s worth considering IME Remit as the mediator, as you are getting some legit benefits.
