Samsung Innovation Campus “AI & Big Data Programme” Overview
Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) conducted the AI & Big Data programme from June 27 to December 31, 2025. The programme offered students hands-on learning, industry-relevant insights, and practical exposure to next-generation technologies. A completion ceremony was held in Kathmandu, where graduating students were recognised and awarded certificates.
Notable academic figures, including Prof. Dr Khadga K.C., Rector; Dr Sanjaya Uprety, Campus Chief of Pulchowk Campus; and Dr Sushil B. Bajracharya, Dean of the Institute of Engineering, attended the certificate distribution ceremony.
Mr Chang Uk Jung, Managing Director of Samsung Nepal, highlighted the importance of investing in youth-led innovation and said:
At Samsung, we see young people as the driving force behind Nepal’s future innovation. Equipping them with future-ready skills goes beyond education—it is an investment in the country’s long-term progress. As we celebrate the achievements of our AI and Big Data graduates, we are equally focused on nurturing the next generation of learners who will strengthen Nepal’s digital capabilities through coding and problem-solving,” he said.
He added that through Samsung Innovation Campus, the company remains committed to empowering Nepal’s youth to lead, innovate, and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s growing digital economy.
“Coding & Programming Course” Announced
True to MD’s words, a new batch of the “Coding & Programming Course” was immediately launched. Similar to the “AI & Big Data Programme”, this course will also equip students with both advanced technical skills and essential soft skills required for today’s digital economy.
A major strength of the programme is its project-based learning approach, where students get guidance to design solutions addressing socially relevant, real-world challenges.
Samsung Innovation Campus “AI & Big Data Programme”: Conclusion
Through initiatives like SIC, Samsung continues to support Nepal’s growing technology ecosystem by providing various courses, such as the “AI & Big Data Programme” and now the “Coding & Programming Course”.
Programmes like these equip young people with the knowledge, tools, and skills required to succeed in a rapidly evolving digital economy — helping build a stronger and more innovative future for the nation.
We would love to see programmes like these continue, and from more companies.
