Samsung’s history of drawing inspiration from Apple is well-documented. From the Unpacked event held on July 10, 2024, even their wireless earbuds, known for their unique and sometimes unconventional designs, now seem to mimic Apple, making Samsung’s product lineup appear derivative and lacking originality.

Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro Overview
Design
Looking at the design of the Galaxy Buds3 Pro, they now come in a more ‘traditional’ form factor. That’s to say the buds look more ‘Apple like‘. The case has a pebble form factor with a transparent lid and a silver or white lower body.
The Samsung logo is engraved on the top of the case whereas the LED indicator is on the front of the body. Lastly, the USB-C port along with the Bluetooth pairing button rest on the underside of the case.
Opening the transparent lid, you’ll be greeted by the earbuds. Each earbud has its own compartment marked by different colors. The buds sport an oval body with a triangular stem, which Samsung calls ‘blades’, attached at the end.
The in-ear designed earbud has the driver, tweeter, and ear detection sensor placed inside the main body, whereas, the swipe/pinch controls along with the microphone, earbud battery, and charging contacts are housed inside the stem.
The earbuds also have an LED strip on each stem that adds a unique flair alongside functionality. Finishing off, the earbuds have an IP57 dust and water resistance rating.

Features
In terms of features, the Buds3 Pro comes with your regular TWS earbud features like onboard music controls, voice assistant, accepting/rejecting phone calls, and environmental noise cancellation.

They include Galaxy AI for Voice and Siren Detection to block unwanted noise and facilitate conversations without manual adjustment. Additional features include voice commands for control and live translations for different languages.
Sound
Now, let’s talk about the sound features of the Galaxy Buds3 Pro. Coming with two drivers on each earbud, one 10.5mm dynamic driver, and one 6mm planar tweeter, the Galaxy Buds3 Pro can provide a broader and superior sound separation when compared to earbuds that have a single driver.
With support for Hi-Res audio and codecs like SSC, HiFi, SSC UHQ, AAC, and SBC, the earbuds can play back high-quality lossless audio as well.
To make the listening experience even more immersive, the earbuds come with active noise cancellation (ANC). Samsung, however, takes it even further by implementing Adaptive ANC, which automatically adjusts the noise cancellation according to how noisy the surroundings are.
Besides that, the earbuds also come with a transparency mode, and a customizable equalizer, which can all be managed and toggled on your smartphone.
Battery and Connectivity
In terms of battery, the Galaxy Buds3 Pro comes equipped with a 515mAh case battery and a 53mAh earbud battery. The earbuds charge by wire through a USB-C port while also having support for wireless charging.

To connect to your smartphone or playback device, the earbuds use the latest Bluetooth 5.4 technology. The earbuds offer compatibility with devices running different operating systems like Windows, iOS, MacOS, and Android.
