CG Motors, the official distributor of Riddara vehicles in Nepal, introduced the Riddara RD6 in mid-2024. Seven months later, they followed up with the Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) variant, transforming the RD6 into a true pickup truck.
While the original version offered a fun-to-drive experience and stood out as an intriguing entry in the niche electric pickup segment, the addition of the 4WD model solidified the RD6’s position as a capable and practical choice for pickup buyers.
About the car, the RD6 uses Geely’s Multiplex Attached Architecture (MAP), which derives from their Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform used for the Zeekr X. This platform supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) up to 6kW, allowing the RD6 to power external devices such as lights, fridges, and laptops.

Riddara RD6 Overview
Design
It’s more fitting to call the Riddara RD6 a Ute rather than a traditional pickup truck. Its design draws inspiration from a philosophy known as “dynamic stillness,” which aims to blend boldness with approachability.
At the front, the RD6 showcases a cohesive design despite the presence of multiple design elements. The key visual difference lies in the grille. The RWD variant features a Parametric Black Chrome Front Grille topped with the “Riddara” wordmark, while the 4WD variant displays a large, centrally positioned, LED-lit “Riddara” logo embedded directly into the grille.
Both variants, however, share the same integrated DRLs housed within the LED Headlamp unit. Aside from that, the rest of the front-end design remains consistent across both variants. The lower bumper includes functional air intakes for battery cooling.
A chrome-finished sluice on either side, though styled like an air vent, serves a purely aesthetic purpose. Both variants also retain a sturdy front skid plate for added protection.
From the side, the RD6 maintains a well-balanced silhouette. While the overall design stays uniform across both versions, the 4WD model includes a few visual upgrades such as Aluminum Roof Rails and Side Steps, which are the features that are absent in the RWD version. Both variants ride on 18-inch Alloy Wheels, although the 4WD gets a more sportier design in its wheel design.
At the rear, the RD6 offers a generous loading bed, easily accessible via an Electric Tailgate Release. Supporting Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, the bed area includes built-in sockets with a power output of up to 6kW.
A full-width LED taillight adds visual appeal, while the robust rear bumper, equipped with a skid plate, enhances durability and functionality.

Another most notable differences lies in the availability of a sunroof, which is exclusive to two 4WD trims, named “4WD with Sunroof” and “4WD Dual Tone with Sunroof.”
The RD6 is available in both Single-Tone and Dual-Tone exterior finishes. Dual-tone options include Green-Black and White-Black combinations, while single-tone colors offered in Nepal include Blue Wave, Silver, White, Black, and Blue.
Performance
The Riddara RD6 is available in two drive types: Rear-Wheel and Four-Wheel Drive.
The RWD is powered by a 200 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) that generates a max power of 272 PS and a max torque of 385 Nm.
Furthermore, it is supported by a 63 kWh LFP Battery pack with a 377 km of NEDC claimed range. Moreover, the charging time for this battery pack from 20% to 100% in around 8 hours via a 6.6kW AC Charger.
On the other hand, the 4WD variant features a Dual-Motor setup, with a 200 kW motor on the rear axle and a 115 kW PMS Motor on the front axle. Together, these motors generate a max power of 442 PS and 595 Nm of max torque.
This variant runs on a 73 kWh LFP battery pack, which offers an NEDC-rated range of 424 km. Using a 6.6 kW AC charger, the battery charges from 20% to 100% in about 9 hours.
With the 60 kW DC fast chargers available in Nepal, the RD6 can recharge from 30% to 80% in approximately 40 to 45 minutes, depending on the variant. Furthermore, both the RWD and 4WD variants come equipped with Three Levels of Regenerative Braking.
However, the 4WD variant enhances the experience with seven driving modes: Sand, Mud, Off-Road, Wading, Economy, Comfort, and Sport.
The RWD variant offers only the last three modes: Economy, Comfort, and Sport.
The RWD model reaches a top speed of 185 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. In comparison, the 4WD variant tops out at 190 km/h and hits 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds.
The 4WD excels at handling tough terrain, offering up to 95% Gradeability and a Water Wading Depth of 815 mm. In comparison, the RWD tackles slopes up to 55% and can wade through water up to 500 mm deep. These capabilities make the 4WD highly effective for extreme off-road conditions and steep hills.
