CG Motors has launched the Riddara RD6, an electric pickup truck, in Nepal. Geely, under the Radar brand, first introduced the RD6 on July 12, 2022.
The RD6 uses Geely’s Multiplex Attached Architecture (MAP), which derives from their Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform used for the Zeekr X.
This platform supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) up to 6kW, allowing the RD6 to power external devices such as lights, fridges, and laptops.
Additionally, the RD6 provides a 20% increase in ground clearance over traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) pickups, thanks to the MAP platform.
Despite limited enthusiasm for pickup trucks in China, there has been some traction in this segment.
With the Riddara RD6, Geely aims to capitalize on the rising demand for electric vehicles in Southeast Asia. Strategically, they showcased the RD6 at the Thailand Motor Expo, recognizing Thailand’s strong preference for pickups.
Now, the RD6 is heading to Nepal, entering an exciting segment that promises to generate considerable interest.

Riddara RD6 Overview
Design
It is more appropriate to call the Riddara RD6 a Ute rather than just a pickup truck.
At the front, the RD6 features a bold design with a centrally placed “RIDDARA” brand logo above the bonnet line.
The grille showcases a Parametric Design with a slim strip functioning as LED DRLS, while the sharply contoured LED Headlights flank the grille.
The bumper includes carefully placed air intakes that enhance the vehicle’s aerodynamics and emphasize its rugged character.
Moving to the side, the RD6 presents a well-proportioned silhouette with a tall and long stance and a slight slant toward the front.
It features 17-inch Multi-Spoke Alloy Wheels within the wheel arches. The side profile blends curves and straight lines, contributing to its aesthetic appeal.

The integrated Taillights form an “X” shape when the cargo door is closed, as half of the taillight is integrated into the cargo door.
Additionally, a light strip runs along the cargo door, further decorating the rear.
The rear bumper is robust and designed to withstand heavy-duty use. It maintains a refined look with integrated reflectors and a subtle skid plate.
On the inside, RD6 has a more of an SUV feeling to it. A lot of soft-touch elements can be found inside the car along with a decent amount of physical buttons.
The overall interior is on a premium side with leather wrapped steering wheel and leatherette seats with lots of stitching.
A 12.3-inch Infotainment Screen is mounted on the dashboard while the three-spoke steering wheel sits behind a 10.25-inch Instrument Cluster.
Additionally, it comes with a 6-speaker Sound System. It is available in Blue Wave, White, Black and Blue Colors in Nepal.
Performance
The Riddara RD6 is powered by a 200 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM). It generates a max power of 272 PS and a max torque of 384 Nm.
It is supported by a 63 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate with a NEDC Claimed 377 Km range. Moreover, the charging time from 0 to 100% is around 9.5 hours with a 7.2 kW AC Charger.
Under fast charging conditions, RD6 can charge from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes.
It has 3 Levels of Regenerative Braking.
Furthermore, it can achieve an impressive top speed of 185 Km/h and 0 – 100 Km/h in 7.3 seconds.
