Robotic Associations of Nepal Announces Registration for Yantra 7.0

Robotics Association of Nepal (RAN) has announced Yantra 7.0 Science, Tech and Entrepreneurship Festival for 2075 BS. Yantra was initiated by RAN in 2012 as a national robotics competition, whose winner was sent to International Robotics Competition in India Institute of Technology (IIT). Now, this platform is open for collaboration among artists, engineers, entrepreneurs. The exact date for the event hasn’t been disclosed yet. But the registration has already opened up.

Who is RAN?

A not-for-profit organization that aims to promote, educate, and bring more Nepalis to explore the field of robotics and electronics. RAN has been organizing a national-level robotics competition as a part of “Yantra” for the past 4 years. The primary mission of “Yantra” is to create a platform that aims to encourage interdisciplinary cross-pollination among the creative and technical fields with a focus on learning and exchange.

About Yantra 7.0

Yantra 7.0 consists of four main events: International Robotics Competition(IRC), Yantra Learning, Yantra Kids and Yantra Incubation. IRC itself consists of 5 different events: RoboBusiness Cup, Manual Akhada, Automatic Akhada, Yantra Drone Racing League, Yantra National League. Yantra has been one of the best platforms in Nepal for showcasing talent, competing against fellow robot makers, experimenting in the Art-tech integration and coming up with new ideas to enhance the robotics and electronics field through practical methods.

With the inclusion of Yantra Incubation, the winners of Yantra will not only get a monetary reward but also significant help in creating their prototype, business model development of their product and also help with market analysis and mass development, should it be feasible. Registration for the event is already open. There are 3 stages for it: Early bird (Nov 20 – Dec 10), Normal bird (Dec 10 – Jan 01), and Late Bird (Jan 01 – Jan 15).
