Kathmandu Valley and other parts of the country may face irregular power outage as the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) works on the regular repair, expansion, and construction of the transmission lines in different places.
Dipak Dhital, deputy manager for NEA’s Load Dispatch Centre, said that Balaju, Swayambhu, and Kalanki will face power cuts for a while during the regular maintenance of the electricity substation at Syuchatar.
The other areas to face power cuts include Chandranigahapur, Hetauda, Simara, Dhalkebar, and Parawanipur as well as the Birgunj industrial corridor; as NEA works to improve transmission system and construction of transmission lines in the area.
