As per a recent news, Ola is entering Australia soon. This marks Ola’s first official entry to the International market.
Ola said that it has invited private vehicle owners and driver partners in the cities of Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth to register on its platform and that it plans to start operations soon.
On the same news article, it is mentioned that Ola is eyeing to set up operations in Nepal as well.
Competition:
- In Australia, Ola has competition from Uber, which has been in Australia since 2015 and GoCatch which is backed by Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull’s son, Alex Turnbull.
Possbile Future Plans:
- Last year, Ola set up it is operations in Bangladesh. It further identified Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bhutan as the first International countries where it will offer its services in the near future. So, Nepal too could have Ola soon.
