Mobile Money is an electronic wallet service available in many countries that lets users store, send and receive money using their mobile phone.
Last June, Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the central monetary authority of Nepal provided the mobile money license to 3 companies; eSewa, IMEI Digital, and Prabhu Technology.
Now, NTC is also planning to provide this service. It may either open a new subsidiary company for the service or partner with one of the three companies that have been granted mobile money license.
IMEI pay, Prabhu Technology and CG PAY have already submitted their proposals to NTC for collaboration. NTC is still to come to a conclusion.
