Nothing Ear (2) with Dual Chamber Design Launched in Nepal

Technology brand Nothing in March 2023 updated its true wireless earbuds with the announcement of the Nothing Ear 2. It is now officially available in Nepal for purchase through Tech Studio, the official distributor of Nothing in Nepal.

The Nothing Ear 2 is a noise-canceling TWS earbuds that succeeds the brand’s debut product, the Ear 1 earbuds.

Nothing Ear 2 Overview

Design

The Nothing Ear 2 looks almost identical to its predecessor with the company’s signature transparent design. The case has an LED light on the top and on the side: a USB-C port and a pairing button, the same as the Ear 1.

However, there are a few design changes to the case. The case is now a bit more compact. The size of the dimple on the case that holds the earbuds in place and the metal hinge are also now smaller.

When it comes to the stem earbuds, they bring almost no visible change. The position of the microphone has been changed and they now have the Nothing ear (2) branding on the stem, and that’s it.

However, the new earbuds now include press controls instead of touch-sensitive.

Also, protection against water and dust is now improved as both the case and the earbuds are water-resistant with ratings of IP55 and IP54, respectively.

Audio Features

The Nothing Ear 2 features an 11.6mm dynamic driver with a custom diaphragm made up of polyurethane and graphene materials.

The earbuds have a unique dual-chamber design and Nothing says it creates a larger space for smoother airflow and clearer sound. In addition to SBC and AAC, the Ear 2 also supports the LHDC 5.0 codec, capable of transmitting frequencies up to 24bit/192KHz at speeds of up to 1Mbps bitrate.

Additionally, the Ear 2 offers Dual Connection, Personal Sound Profile, Clear Voice Technology (using 3 mics), and Active Noise Cancellation that adapts to the unique shape of a user’s ear canal.

Dual Connection allows users to connect to two devices simultaneously and seamlessly switch between playing music or receiving calls.

The personal sound profile uses the Nothing X app and adjusts the equalizer to match the user’s hearing for optimal listening experience.

Moreover, Ear 2 supports Google Fast Pair on Android devices and Microsoft Swift Pair on Windows devices. It also has a Low Lag Mode for gaming.

Connectivity & Battery

The Nothing Ear 2 supports Bluetooth 5.3 for connectivity. It can be connected to and controlled by both Android and iOS using the Nothing X app. If you have a Nothing phone, you can control the earbuds from the phone’s Bluetooth settings.

Each earbud has a 33mAh battery, while the charging case has a 485mAh battery. Nothing says that after a full charge, the earbuds can deliver a music playback of up to 36 hours with case and 6.3 hours with buds only with ANC turned off.

And with a fast charge, the case can deliver up to 8 hours on a 10-minute charge. Ear (2) also supports wireless charging up to 2.5W and can reverse charge on compatible devices.

The Nothing Ear 2 price in Nepal is Rs. 21,999. You can buy it online at Daraz and retail stores across the country.

The Nothing Ear 2 is Nothing’s third audio product and a successor of the Nothing Ear 1. It has the company’s signature transparent design, but the case is now smaller in dimension.

It now has a custom audio driver and a new dual-chamber design. It also brings LHDC 5.0 codec support and Nothing’s Personal Sound Profile feature.
