Eco Infinity, the authorized distributor of NIU electric bikes and scooters in Nepal is planning to launch the brand-new electric bike NIU RQi soon.

NIU Nepal has officially announced the upcoming launch of NIU RQi on its Facebook.

NIU RQi will be a powerful flagship electric motorbike, featuring a Powerful Motor and Dual Battery, an Excellent Braking System, an Anti-Theft System, GPS, and more. 

It has been developed with four years of continuous R&D daunting futuristic design, multiple impressive features, and an extended range.

What is the NIU RQi price in Nepal?

NIU RQi price in Nepal is not yet public. While the launch is officially confirmed, important information like the launch date, color, and warranty are not disclosed either.

Considering its price for the European market (€ 8000 ), the price of NIU RQi in Nepal will be on the higher side. Although unsure, it would cost at least Rs. 10 Lakhs to Rs. 13 Lakhs considering the current market trends.

NIU has been popular for electric scooters. But, it is breaking the stereotype by introducing a new electric bike.

NIU RQi Overview

Design

NIU RQi comes with a muscular yet sporty look. NIU has tried to give an artistic look with no compromise on the form factor.

The front looks clean with a circular DRL with an LED headlamp. The slim indicators are located on either side right above the headlamp.

Plus, it features a camera above the headlamp which lets the rider record anytime.

The side profile looks stylish with innovative design language and striking geometric lines and creasing. The shrouds on either side look bulky giving it a muscular look.

The shrouds/wings are designed for proper airflow management which ultimately improves the overall aerodynamics of the bike. 

The rear is simple with an LED headlamp and is integrated with the body. Plus, the rear features a split mudguard.

Interestingly the rear also features a camera just above the taillamp.

Both, the front and rear cameras feature Collision Detection and Automatic Recording. It is an appreciable addon in the RQi.

It comes with dual-tone color coordination. Additionally, it is available in four different color options: Green, Blue, Red, and Brushed Silver.

Performance

NIU RQi is powered by an in-house 7500W NIU electric motor. Interestingly, with the 93% power efficiency, it is able to produce a good 450 Nm peak torque.

It is also powered up by a 72V36AH dual Lithium Ion battery giving a total output of 5.184 kWh. It can be fully charged in 4 hours for a single battery and 7 hours for a dual battery setup. 

All these combine to produce a range of 95-105Km in a single charge.

The batteries are based on 4th Gen NIU Energy Smart Power Technology. Plus, they are supported by High Performance Battery Cooling Technology which dissipates heat efficiently. 

NIU RQi covers 0-50 Kmph in just 2.9 seconds.

The number of riding modes is not clear at this moment.

Furthermore, RQi offers plenty of safety features like ABS and TCS. Plus, it also features Brembo Brake Callipers and Pirelli Tyres for precise controls and handling.

Both Brembo and Pirelli have internationally recognized brake components and tyre manufacturers respectively.

Additional Features

RQi comes with Twin Forks at the front and Mono-Shock at the rear for suspension duties.

The overall dimensions are 2080mm in length, 835mm in width, and 1108mm in height. And, the wheelbase sits at 1455mm.

Interestingly, RQi comes with a ground clearance of 167mm which falls a bit on the lower side for motorbike. The kerb weight is 135 Kg.

The NIU Battery Management System (BMS) is equipped with four arrays of sensors to detect temperature, voltage, current and insulation. These sensors monitor the system for 56 potential faults, providing owners with peace of mind.

RQi features alloy wheels and comes with a 110/70-R17 tyre in the front and a 140/70-R17 tire in the rear. Furthermore, it comes with a Dual-Disc braking system. Both front and rear features a Combined Braking System along with Dual Channel ABS and TCS.

NIU RQi price in Nepal has not been disclosed as it is yet to launch. While considering its price in the international market, we can estimate the price to sit around Rs. 10 Lakhs to Rs. 13 Lakhs.

A large chunk of the Nepali market prefers the bikes in the price range of Rs. 3 Lakhs to Rs. 7 Lakhs. Having said this, it should be interesting to see how NIU Nepal keeps the price of the RQi. Nonetheless, RQi seems to be targeting the premium segment.
