Motorola Edge 50 Fusion Overview
Design
The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion has a premium look with flat frames and curved panels. It gives a bit of a nostalgic vibe with its seamless camera island similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series and base models of S22.
This phone is available in Forest Blue, Hot Pink, and Marshmallow Blue colours — all three options feature different materials for its back cover. The latter two get vegan leather and vegan suede for their back panels, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Forest Blue option makes do with regular PMMA (Plastic) for its back cover. Even though it is plastic, it still has a matte texture — as a result, it still looks as premium as the other options. Moreover, it is the only option with a dual-texture finish, as the camera island here has a smooth finish.
All the options of Motorola Edge 50 Fusion are IP68-rated and can withstand exposure to the weather without much issue.
Display
On the front, it has a 6.7-inch curved pOLED screen with FHD+ (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) and 395PPI pixel density.
This phone features a display with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, making it the only phone other than the gaming-centric Infinix GT 20 Pro to offer such a high fluidity under Rs. 50,000.
On top of that, we get a touch sampling rate of up to 360Hz which gives the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion equally rapid touch responsiveness.
Other than that, it is a 10-bit panel with full DCI-P3 colour coverage and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. It also features the “Smart Water Touch” feature, which prevents the phone from acting up when there are water droplets on the screen.

Hardware
Processor-wise, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. It is an octa-core silicon with 4nm fabbing and a peak clock speed of 2.4GHz. It is a standard midrange processor that does not stand out much.
Paired with the chipset are 12GB LPDRR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. While there is another variant with double the storage, it will not be available in Nepal.
Unlike other Motorola offerings in Nepal, this device does not have memory or storage expansion support, so that’s a bummer…
Cameras
Moving on to the camera department, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion gets a 50MP primary shooter with OIS.
Underneath, there is a LYTIA sensor, LYT-700C to be more specific. LYTIA is a group of sensors from Sony — a pioneer in the imaging department. The inclusion of this sensor apparently elevates the phone’s night photography, by reducing noise in images taken in a dark environment
Likewise, the auxiliary shooter on this phone is a 13MP ultrawide snapper that is also capable of macro shots. Meanwhile, you are looking at a 32MP unit on the front.
Talking of the video, both front as well as back cameras can record UHD (4K) videos at 30fps.
Battery and OS
In the tank, it has a 5,000 mAh battery that — as per Motorola — can last over 30 hours. It can also fill up really quickly as it supports 68W TurboPower charging.
The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion boots on Android 14 with My UX skin on top. It gets “ThinkShield for mobile” for security purposes. It can seamlessly connect and work with TV and PC as well.
The company is also offering three OS updates with the phone, which is a decent enough number.
Motorola Edge 50 Fusion Price in Nepal and Availability
The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion launched in Nepal on 30 January 2025 and its price is Rs. 46,499 for the 12/256GB trim. It is available to purchase at CG Digital and all authorised stores across Nepal.
Motorola Edge 50 Fusion | Price in Nepal |
---|---|
12/256GB | Rs. 46499 |
The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is one of the most appealing options in its price range. Though it does not stand out power-wise with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 as its primary driver, its premium design and material, silky smooth screen, and camera backed by Sony sensor are too good to look over.
