Xiamen Golden Dragon will soon establish a first-of-its-kind EV assembly plant in Nepal.

Koshi NK Motors Pvt. Ltd. and Xiamen Golden Dragon Auto Body Co. Ltd. have inked a historic deal to set up an assembly plant in Nepal.
The Nepali company will invest Rs. 300 Crore (Rs. 3 Billion) in technical partnership with Xiamen Golden Dragon to establish an EV assembly plant in Biratnagar, Nepal.
We will produce electric vehicles with technical support, not Chinese investment. We have planned to invest Rs. 3 billion in the first phase. We agree that we will purchase the parts and necessary raw materials from that company and that skilled technicians will support us for two years.”

The assembly will be built on 15 bigha land in Biratnagar and will produce 5000 EVs annually.
The company is already in work to bring the assembly plant into operation this year. The assembled vehicles will daunt a Nepali branding as a product of Nepal.
