SPG Automobiles, the authorized distributor for Jaecoo vehicles in Nepal, celebrated its first anniversary since its official debut in the Nepali market. The company has sold over 800+ units in the market.

Celebrating the event, Omoda Jaecoo Nepal has announced enticing offers for its existing lineup, including benefits up to Rs. 5,15,000, Free 7 kW Charger, 1 Year Free Insurance, and Road Tax.

Interestingly enough, Omoda Jaecoo Nepal also revealed their plan to introduce Jaecoo V23 and Jaecoo J5 in 2025. However, the details regarding the exact launch dates, variants, and specifications will be known down the line.

The Jaecoo V23 is a rebadged version of the iCar V23, which is a subsidiary brand of Chery—the parent company of both Omoda and Jaecoo. This rebranding trend is not surprising, as the Jaecoo J6 was also a rebranding of the iCar 03 when it launched in the Thailand market.

The iCar V23 will likely follow a similar path when it makes its debut in Thailand, subsequently bringing that name when it makes its debut in the Nepali market.

That being said, we will cover known details about the Jaecoo V23 in this article.

Jaecoo V23 Overview

Design

Jaecoo V23 sports a squared-off silhouette, reminiscent of popular off-roaders like the Mercedez G-Wagen.

It features a rugged and muscular profile. The sculpted bonnet holds a strong on-road presence with horizontally protruding circular LED headlights and extended wheel arches.

The bumpers are colored-matched, complimenting its overall presence.

Nevertheless, the front section has the most busy aesthetic styling. It has a mix of retro themes with futuristic undertones.

Comparatively, the side profile is a bit simpler with hidden door handles. A prominent horizontal line extends from the front bonnet to the rear section. Other than the boxy appearance, the rest of the profile is simple.

Interestingly enough, the space between the C-pillar and the D-pillar has been closed off with yet another color-matched panel.

Coming to the rear profile, the design is reminiscent of the G-Wagen.

The LED Taillight is placed lower down. Instead of a spare tyre, V23 comes with an external rear storage container.

Doing so will allow users to personalize the vehicle per their preferences.

Interestingly enough, the interiors match the theme set by the exterior. The V23 features mechanical knobs which further solidifies its rugged appeal.

As of writing this article, Jaecoo V23 does not have a strong contender.

Like its Jaecoo J6 sibling, it has successfully created a unique segment for electric off-roaders with punchy performance and advanced features.

Legacy icons like Suzuki Jimny are known for being a funky and quirky off-roading offering. The Jaecoo V23 falls right into that unique segment, offering even more features and capabilities. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see how the market will receive the V23 when it makes its debut.
