Infinix Hot 50 Pro Series Overview

Design

The Infinix Hot 50 Pro features a flat design with a boxy frame and back panel—nothing out of the ordinary in today’s budget phone market. In contrast, the Hot 50 Pro+ takes a more premium approach with its curved display and slim 6.8mm profile, giving it a noticeably high-end feel. And at just around Rs. 25,000, it certainly looks like a bargain from a design standpoint.

Both phones use plastic for the frame and back, but thanks to the brushed metal finish and frosted texture, they manage to look more premium—almost like glass. The camera modules are also quite similar, featuring a linear triple-camera layout.

One notable difference is in audio and ports. The Hot 50 Pro+ features JBL-tuned speakers, and the regular 50 Pro retains the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Both models come with standard button and port placement—volume and power buttons on the sides, and a USB-C port on the bottom. They also carry an IP54 rating for protection against dust and water splashes.

Display

Both the Infinix Hot 50 Pro and 50 Pro+ feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2436 pixels). They support a dynamic refresh rate of 60Hz to 120Hz and offer a peak brightness of 1,800 nits and a typical brightness of 550 nits.

While neither phone officially mentions any display protection, the Hot 50 Pro+ does include a tempered glass protector in the box.

On paper, the displays are nearly identical, but the 3D curved design of the Pro+ gives it a visual edge, adding to its premium feel. In contrast, the flat screen and asymmetrical bezels on the Pro make it look more basic by comparison.

Hardware

The MediaTek Helio G100 powers both the Infinix Hot 50 Pro and 50 Pro+—marking its debut in the Nepali market. This is a 4G chipset and a successor to the Helio G99, previously seen in devices like the Redmi Note 14 4G. For the price, the G100 offers good performance and solid value, featuring an octa-core CPU built on a 6nm process, with clock speeds of up to 2.2GHz.

In terms of memory, both phones come with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, which can be virtually expanded up to 16 GB. Storage-wise, the 50 Pro offers 128GB, while the Pro+ steps it up with 256 GB. Both devices also support microSD card expansion, though the maximum supported capacity hasn’t been specified yet.

Camera

The camera setup is identical on both phones, though nothing particularly groundbreaking. Each features a triple-camera module consisting of a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a third auxiliary lens of unspecified function.

On the front, the Hot 50 Pro comes with an 8MP selfie camera, while the Pro+ gets a slight bump with a 13MP shooter. Both devices support video recording at up to 2K resolution at 30 frames per second.

Battery and OS

Both phones are equipped with a 5,000mAh battery. While that’s expected on the Hot 50 Pro, given its 8.8mm thickness, it’s impressive that Infinix managed to pack the same battery into the much slimmer Hot 50 Pro+.

Both use a standard lithium-ion cell. For charging, the phones support 33W wired fast charging.

On the software front, they ship with XOS 14.5 based on Android 14. However, Infinix hasn’t clarified how many years of software or OS updates these devices will receive.

Infinix Hot 50 Pro Series Price in Nepal and Availability

The Infinix Hot 50 Pro and Pro+ prices in Nepal are Rs. 20,999 (8/128GB) and Rs. 25,999 (8/256GB), respectively. Both phones are available for purchase in Infinix-authorized online and retail stores

Infinix Hot 50 Series Price in Nepal
Pro [8/128GB] Rs. 20,999
Pro+ [8/256GB] Rs. 25,999

Both the Infinix Hot 50 Pro and Pro+ share similar and solid specs in their price range, including 8GB of RAM and the new Helio G100 chipset.

However, the key difference lies in the design. The Hot 50 Pro, with its flat and boxy look, blends in with most phones on the market—while the Hot 50 Pro+ stands out thanks to its slim profile and curved display, giving it a more premium feel than the price would suggest.

And looking at the ongoing race between Samsung and Apple to create the thinnest phone, the Hot 50 Pro+ feels like Infinix’s way of showing that even budget brands can compete in design finesse without breaking the bank.
