
Nepal-based International Money Express (IME) and the India-based Muthoot Finance have signed an agreement for Indo-Nepal remittance, reports My Republica.
The agreement was signed during a program organized at the IME Central Office in Panipokhari on the 10th of December. The agreement was signed between Chief Executive Officer of IME Limited, Khalen Poudel, and General Manager of Muthut Finance, RK Bijimono.
According to the agreement, Nepali citizens in India can send money to Nepal from 4,600 branches of Muthoot Finance. The receivers in Nepal can receive the amount through more than 7,100 agents of IME in Nepal. IME will also provide account deposit facilities to these customers besides cash payment options.
During the program, the IME Group President, Chan Prasad Dhakal mentioned that after the agreement between IME and Muthoot Finance, Nepalis living in India can send millions to the people in Nepal. Director of IME, Hemraj Dhakal also mentioned that the agreement between the first and largest remittance company of Nepal and Muthoot Finance company makes it easy to send money from India.
