Impressions
It seems as if Huawei and Xiaomi are the only two huge smartphone manufacturers that focus on the budget smartphones more than they do on their flagship devices. They have been absolutely crushing other smartphones with their budget lineup. But with the recent release of other smartphones such as the Oppo A83, Oppo A71 and Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2, there sure is competition for every other smartphone Huawei launches.
The smartphone manufacturing system is in its epitome for you can get an insanely specced device for a price of around 25 grand. Huawei Y9 is one of those smartphones which would have cost you the price of a flagship device a couple of years ago. But today, you are getting an Octa-Core CPU with 3 Gigabytes of RAM and well a gigantic 4000 mAh Battery. Dual camera setup too wasn’t a thing until 2016, but today, virtually every smartphone has a dual camera setup including the Huawei Y9 of course.
The bottom line is, this phone looks extremely promising on paper. However, the heavyweight spec sheet doesn’t always translate to similar real-world performance. Huawei Nova 2i performed extremely well and the Y9 2018 looks set to do pretty well with the similar specs.
