Huawei Teases Square Camera Setup for the Mate 20 Pro

Huawei released an official teaser of the Mate 20 series and it seems like we’ll see a square camera setup on the rear. We have already seen the leaked images of the Mate 20 Pro indicating the square camera setup. So, this teaser makes it more realistic as it shows off an outline of the camera housing.

The video was released by Huawei on its official Weibo channel. The video shows off a quad bike running around in desert featuring a quote “This is the time to explore something new. This is Mate.”

Three camera setup is not new to Huawei. P20 Pro rocked an amazing triple camera setup and it seems like the Mate 20 Pro will do the same. However, the camera formation will be different in the Mate 20 lineup. The square camera setup is set to feature a triple camera and the flash.

The Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro are both expected to launch next month. The new Mate series will be unveiled in an event which will take place on 16th October. It will be equipped with Huawei’s all-new Kirin 980 Chipset, a 7nm chipset which is supposed to be better than the Snapdragon 845. Click here to know more about the Kirin 980.
