Honor Pad X8 with 10.1-inch FHD Display Launched in Nepal

Honor launched the Honor Pad X8 tablet in Nepal in December 2023. The tablet was globally announced and released a year back in September 2022.

While its successor the Honor Pad X9 already hit the global market in July 2023, Honor has just launched the Pad X8 here in Nepal. The variant available in Nepal has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage with a 10.1-inch TFT display and MediaTek MT8786 processor.

Honor Pad X8 Overview

Design

This is an entry-level tablet with a simple design. The back is made up of metal with a square camera placed on the top left corner, and Honor branding right across the center.

The Honor Pad X8 weighs 460 g with a thickness of 7.6 mm. The volume control button and the power button are given on the right side, while the bottom consists of the speaker grille, USB Type-C port, and memory slot. Another speaker grille, for stereo sound, is placed on the top frame.

Display

The tablet sports a 10.1-inch FHD TFT panel and a resolution of 1920 x 1200. With an 80% screen-to-body ratio, the bezels are noticeably thick.

Hardware

Powering the tablet is the MediaTek MT8786 processor. The processor is an octa-core chipset with two 2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 and six 1.8 GHz Cortex-A55 cores.

For the GPU, it comes with a Mali-G52. The Nepali consumers only get a single option of 4GB RAM and 64GB storage which is expandable up to 512GB with a microSD card. Last but not least, the phone carries a dual-speaker setup that provides a surround sound feature.

Camera

The camera segment does not carry massive specifications. The back camera is a 5MP sensor while the front camera is a 2MP sensor. While the primary camera captures videos in 1080p at 30fps, Honor has not mentioned the video capture quality in the front.

Battery and OS

Inside the tablet, you will get a 5100mAh battery. The phone arrives with Android 12 out of the box with Magic UI version 6.1 on top. It does support the Google Play Store as well.

The tablet features a multi-window split-screen function that allows users to open up to 4 different applications at the same time.

The Honor Pad X8 price in Nepal is Rs. 24,990 (4/64GB). The tablet is available for purchase through the Honor authorized stores and also in online stores such as Daraz.

Overall, the Honor Pad X8 is a decent tablet with an FHD TFT display, a 5100mAh battery, a stereo speaker setup, and a MediaTek MT8786 processor.
