The government has revised the economic growth target from 7.2 percent to 6 percent for the fiscal year 2017/18, reports My Republica.
The Details:
- In a press meet held at the Ministry of Finance, Finance Minister Yubaraj Khatiwada said that the previous target is difficult to achieve.
- Since the budget could not be fully implemented, the growth target has been reduced.
- Similarly, the budget expenditure has dropped to 84.67 percent out of the total budget announced in the budget speech so that only Rs. 1082.99 billion will be spent.
